Mizner Country Club Women’s Association Supports Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund

(DELRAY BEACH FL) – In response to the effects of the Ukrainian war on its children, the Mizner Country Club Women’s Association (MCCWA) organized a fundraising effort to help families with basic needs such as food, medicine, and shelter.

“Watching the devastation, we knew we couldn’t just sit by and do nothing. The MCCWA Board unanimously agreed to raise money for the children of Ukraine through the Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, which provides immediate help for the children and their families to meet the basic needs of food, medicine, and shelter,” said Randi Cannata, MCCWA president.

The MCCWA president notes the effort began on March 7th and by March 13th the checks had poured in for the Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.  The MCCWA has raised over $16,000.

“The MCCWA has been overwhelmed by the generosity and quick response from our Mizner Country Club community,” said Ms. Cannata.

Mackenzie Lalov, Mizer’s Director of Membership, commented, “It is heartwarming to see MCCWA associations come to aid this humanitarian crisis so quickly. Their efforts and the generosity of the Mizner Country Club community will join with other contributors to the 7.5 million children of Ukraine, who according to the Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, are in constant danger of physical harm, emotional distress, and displacement."
