aboutGOLF Adds The Yards, Sahalee, True Blue and Caledonia to Simulator Course Library

Unique blend of courses adds variety and difference playing opportunities to aG members

(MAUMEE, OHIO) — Officials from aboutGOLF announced the upcoming addition of renderings of four new golf courses to their library including Sahalee Country Club, True Blue Golf Club, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and The Yards, a unique new 12-hole course in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

“We pride ourselves on offering our customers with an incredible member experience that includes a variety of options. Our members enjoy not only having quality courses from across the world of golf, courses that are distinctive in their look, courses that transport our members into new places in the world, but also courses that provide them with a range time commitments, difficulty and types of holes to play,” Ken Reynolds, aboutGOLF VP of Sales and Marketing. “Whether it’s playing through the famous trees of Sahalee, the beautiful southern South Carolina landscape of True Blue and Caledonia or 12, 9, 6 and 3-hole options that are available at The Yards, these additions bring even more depth and diverse options to our members.”

Sahalee was designed by noted golf course architect Ted Robinson with later renovations by Rees Jones and has hosted multiple events for the world’s best players including the 1998 PGA Championship, the 2002 World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational, the 2002 USGA Senior Open and the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. It has been consistently ranked in the top 100 courses in America by Golf Digest for over 30 years. The characteristically Northwest venue includes majestic Douglas fir, red cedar and hemlock trees lining its narrow fairways. Sahalee's 27-holes consist of three 9-hole courses of equal caliber (the North, South and East course), any two of which can be combined to a standard 18-hole course.

The Yards is an original Arnold Palmer-designed course that General Manager Mike Miles and Owner David Miller transformed into a completely new golf experience (according to Miller with the help of lite beer and Cabernet Sauvignon for creativity). The Yards is championship golf with playing options to fit lifestyles and skill levels of all kinds of golfers. By combining the totally redesigned classic nine Front Yard with amazing par-three holes from the new Backyard, they have created North Florida’s first 12-hole course.

Ranked in Golf Magazine’s “2019 Top 100 Resorts in North America for Buddies Trips” list, True Blue Golf Club represents the class of the expansive golf offerings on The Waccamaw Golf Trail located just minutes south of central Myrtle Beach. The dramatic, fun layout is known for its vast fairways, undulating greens and impressive elevation changes. The rolling terrain and native vegetation of this “Nationally Recognized” Mike Strantz design makes for one of the most spectacular settings in golf. And with an 18-acre practice facility, fully-stocked pro shop and inviting grill room, True Blue is a must-play on any visit to “The Golf Capital of the World” Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is one of the Hammock Coast and Myrtle Beach Area’s most highly awarded, rated and ranked courses. The 6,526-yard, par-70 course has been described as having “18 signature holes,” with the golf course routed around majestic oaks and meandering streams. The picturesque 18th hole borders the marshes and a large lake. This iconic Par 4 requires a precise tee shot and a challenging second shot: a carry over water onto a green at the foot of the clubhouse.
