GolfPass Channel Will Include a 24 Hour-Mix of Live and Pre-Produced Content
(NEW YORK, NY. & ORLANDO, Fla.) – Peacock and golf superstar Rory McIlroy today announced a new GolfPass channel will launch February 8th on the streaming service, featuring premier instruction and entertainment content from the digital golf membership program, as well as timely news each day from GOLF Channel.The new GolfPass channel will provide fans the opportunity to sample the variety of programming offered through a GolfPass membership, including game-improvement videos with the game’s best coaches, entertainment from favorite GOLF Channel series like Feherty and Big Break, as well as GolfPass originals like The Conor Moore Show and My Daily Routine, and more. A paid GolfPass membership also provides access to thousands of hours of content archived in the GOLF Channel video vault. Developed in partnership between McIlroy and NBC Sports Group, GolfPass is a first-of-its-kind, direct-to-consumer subscription program, which offers opportunities to play more golf, comprehensive tools to improve any golfer’s game and high-quality video content.
The GolfPass channel on Peacock aims to complement the traditional golf programming offered by NBC, NBCSN and GOLF Channel and will continue to evolve and expand throughout the year. In recognition of the launch, McIlroy will sport the Peacock logo on his golf bag during competition, beginning at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, airing on GOLF Channel and NBC, Feb. 4-7. The Peacock logo, which will replace GolfPass, will remain on McIlroy’s bag for the balance of 2021. The channel also will feature original programming produced with McIlroy, including the popular Ask Rory instructional series.
GolfPass Channel will join Peacock channels, such as The Choice, NBC News Now, NBC Sports on Peacock channel which includes PFT Live with Mike Florio, The Dan Patrick Show, and The Rich Eisen Show. The channel will join robust library of live sports on Peacock Premium. Highlights of Peacock’s live sports offerings include Premier League, a Sunday NFL Wild Card playoff game, U.S. Open golf, U.S. Women’s Open golf, and upcoming Olympics and Paralympics coverage, plus the Peacock Originals Lost Speedways, hosted by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and In Deep with Ryan Lochte.
