Club Champion Appoints New CEO, CSO And More To Corporate Team

The club fitter has added nine new positions to their corporate roster in 2021

(Willowbrook, IL) — Club Champion, the nation’s leading custom golf club fitter, announces the addition of a new Chief Executive Officer, Chief Stores Officer, Regional General Manager and six other new positions within their corporate team.

Club Champion offers Tour-quality club fittings and custom-built clubs for every level of golfer. Each store houses over 50,000 hittable head and shaft combinations made up of over 50 brands, alongside the best technology and talent the industry has to offer. Club Champion’s brand-agnostic approach has propelled them from a regional Chicagoland business to an award-winning national chain with over 80 locations and an aggressive growth strategy for 2021-2022.

“All these big changes are crucial to the next phase of Club Champion,” said Nick Sherburne, the company’s founder. “These new faces will help us bring our proven model to as many golfers as possible and open up new opportunities for our brand as we go.”

One of those new faces is Adam Levy, who is taking the reins from Club Champion’s former CEO, Joe Lee. Lee acted as the company’s leader for 11 years. He will move to Chairman of the Board and continue to be actively involved in the brand’s operations. Levy’s retail growth expertise from companies like Tumi, Tommy Hilfiger and Refac Optical Group positions him perfectly to expand Club Champion’s footprint nationally and beyond.

“This is an exciting time to really dive into Club Champion’s success,” said Levy. “I’m ready to help the brand move toward international expansion and a broader customer reach. The opportunities are endless for a company full of passionate employees and bolstered by even more passionate customers.”

Another acquisition for Club Champion’s C-suite is Rob Baumaister, newly appointed Chief Stores Officer (CSO). Baumaister’s experience in operational leadership from companies like Floor & Decor will help amplify Club Champion’s existing field management structure and offer the brand a wider opportunity for regional and local advancement.

The custom club fitter’s leadership is also gaining a new General Manager (GM) in Scott Pastor, who will be focused on the West Coast. He joins the three existing regional GMs and will more evenly distribute the field responsibilities, giving each store more access to leadership and support.

Additionally, six more team members have joined the crew at the Chicagoland headquarters, including marketing, customer service, and recruiting personnel to fuel their continued growth and expansion.

Sherburne looks forward to the change: “We’re taking the calculated risks needed to come out a stronger, ever more dominant player in this space. Our job is all about upgrades — equipment upgrades, score upgrades, confidence upgrades — so we’re applying our trusted methodology to our own brand. Measure, enhance, outperform expectations.”
