A 'Subtle Bit of Swag' Carries Max Homa to Coveted Title at Genesis Invitational

Relying on local knowledge, clutch shot-making that included some wizardry with his wedge, as well as FJ gear from head-to-toe, Max Homa claimed the Genesis Invitational in a dramatic two-hole playoff Sunday.

Max’s win is the latest validation for a new footwear category set to launch on March 15 – The Premiere Series, a modern representation of the classic golf shoe for men and women. Learn more about Premiere Series HERE.

“It’s really cool to have a shoe that looks awesome – really stylish, with a subtle bit of swag – and also be one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn,” said Homa.

“I’m getting a ton of comments on Instagram about my shoes – ‘oh, hey, those are cool, when can I get those’. People are more interested in my shoes than any shots I hit. I could post a hole in one video and I would still get more comments about these shoes than the shot.”

Designed in collaboration with several PGA Tour players, The Premiere Series will feature three new upper designs, inspired by the past but made relevant for today, including the all-white cap toe pattern worn by Homa on Sunday. Influenced by the discerning taste of the modern golfer, each collection uses soft, supple premium leather uppers and ultra-lightweight materials, as well as exquisite detailing that deliver distinctly modern classic styling.

While timeless in design, the Premiere Series is infused with performance innovation, led by the all-new VersaTrax+ outsole that is engineered to provide grip for any lie or angle, providing total traction coverage. The Premiere Series also delivers on comfort, featuring a Ortholite EcoPlush FitBed® that delivers perimeter stability in the heel as well as super-soft and comfortable custom underfoot cushioning.

The shoes have been tested by many of the world’s best players since July and have quickly become the shoes that more players on Tour are wearing than any other.

Homa has also been wearing FJ apparel this year and has gravitated towards printed styles in the athletic fit construction, including beverage-themed shirts he wore in Phoenix and the golf print shirt he wore on Sunday.

Max also prefers the Tour fit pants which feature a modern, tailored fit with a tapered leg and four-way stretch, easy care fabric.

“I like to have subtle hints of flavor in what I wear. I want you to look twice and say, ‘hey I like what you’re wearing’ without being too bold and in your face. I get that with the FJ apparel and it fits really nice as well, which is cool.”

Finally, Max chooses the Pure Touch Limited golf glove which are the standard in product leadership, innovation excellence and outstanding performance.
