Win is First on PGA TOUR for TaylorMade’s New R15 Driver
(Carlsbad, Calif.) – A mere 10 days after putting TaylorMade’s new R15 driver in his bag, Jason Day (@JDayGolf), along with his playing partner, finished strong and held off a slew of challengers to capture the Franklin Templeton Shootout by one stroke.
One of the first TaylorMade staffers to add the R15 to his bag, Day first played the R15 at last week’s Hero World Challenge, dialing in his specs after extensive testing with the tour staff. His R15 is set to 10.5* of loft with split weights (front track) set to lower. He also recently changed shafts from Matrix to the Kuro Kage 70x for his R15.

The R15 driver, available for preorder now and for retail January 9, 2015, will be offered in both black and white and features a desirable, playable pear-shape in two head sizes – 460cc and 430cc. Available in four lofts – 9.5°, 10.5°, 12° and 14°, TaylorMade expects R15 to become its No. 1 played driver on top professional tours in 2015.
