Vertical Groove Golf Names Jacob Keith Senior Club Technician

Accomplished Clubfitter Joins Vertical Groove Golf Operations Team; Keith Will Work Closely with Global Ambassadors John Daly & Rocco Mediate

(Boston, MA) - Vertical Groove Golf, the golf industry’s newest original equipment manufacturer, announced that Jacob Keith has been named the Company’s Senior Club Technician. An accomplished Golf Digest Top 100 Clubfitter, Keith will supervise custom club fitting and building initiatives for the new Vertical Groove Driver, the only golf club innovation to enter the market featuring vertical groove technology on the club face. Keith will be based at the Company’s new operations facility in Jupiter, FL.

In his new role, Keith will work closely with the company’s recently signed Global Ambassadors, two-time Major Champion, and  acclaimed long driver, John Daly, as well as defending Sr. PGA Champion, Rocco Mediate, as they use the Vertical Groove Driver on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and other professional events worldwide. Additionally, Keith will play an integral role in the upcoming Vertical Groove Golf Demo Day Program, which will take place in key sun-belt markets during the 2017 winter season.

Prior to joining the Vertical Groove Golf team, Keith spent 8 years as the #1 club specialist and fitter at Palm Beach Golf Center, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, where he earned distinction as a Golf Digest Top 100 Clubfitter. Over the past several years, Jacob has worked closely with several touring professionals, as well as some of the top amateur golfers in southern Florida, providing club fitting and support services.

Available in both right and left handed models, the 450cc Vertical Groove Driver is offered in 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree lofts, and features a full range of Aldila premium grade, tour proven aftermarket NV2K series shafts as standard. The available flexes include: 45 gram L (Ladies), 50 gram A (Senior), 55 gram R (Regular), 65 gram S (Stiff) and 65 gram X (Extra-stiff). At a length of 45.75 inches, the Vertical Groove Driver provides an optimum launch angle while maximizing carry distance and ball speed for many players. It is equipped with Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips in standard, midsize and oversize models. Alternative shaft options from Fujikura, Mitsubishi and Aldila will also be available. Suggested retail price of the Vertical Groove Driver is $399.99.
