Golf Pride Grips Selects Jeff Dezen Public Relations as PR Agency-of-Record

(SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.) - Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has selected Jeff Dezen Public Relations (JDPR) as its official Public Relations agency-of-record for its Golf Pride Grips division.  JDPR will provide strategic planning, media relations and brand support for Golf Pride as the brand looks to raise awareness of its TOUR leadership, bring to market new products and reinforce its history of innovation.

For more than 60 years, Golf Pride has been the global leader in golf grip innovation and technology.  Advances such as the slip-on grip, groundbreaking cord innovations and the introduction of the hybrid grips category, are all products of the minds at Golf Pride. In addition, Golf Pride has laid claim to more major championship wins than any other golf grip company. Today, more than 80% of Tour professionals choose to play Golf Pride grips and not one is paid to do so.

“We have a storied brand that is poised for growth in 2013, and we believe that growth can be driven by having greater media presence among consumers,” stated Brandon Sowell, global sales and marketing manager for Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. “With their strategic insights, their advanced understanding of our channels of business and their stellar reputation among golf media, JDPR has proven that they are the PR resource to help us achieve that presence.”

According to Jeff Dezen, JDPR’s founder and president, “Rarely, do you have an opportunity to add brands to your portfolio that are as venerable and influential in their industry as Golf Pride.  It is a brand that has played a part in some of the most unforgettable moments in the game’s history, as golf’s greatest champions have trusted their games to Golf Pride’s innovative products for six decades.  We are honored to have them as our client, and we look forward to helping them tell their story to the world.”
