STX Golf Redevelops Popular Sync 8 Putter

(BALTIMORE, MD) - STX Golf, known for producing classically inspired putters with a modern style, has renovated the Sync 8 Putter (SS8) from the PGA Tour winning Sync Series.

The Sync Series has garnered 12 PGA Titles including one major - the PGA Championship. Contemporary lines blended with high performance inserts is a determining factor to their success on tour and at retail. The company acknowledges the importance of the Sync Series within their line-up and decided to redevelop the SS8.

The SS8 Blade Putter is a modern adaptation to the classically designed blade. Its once angular top-line has been refined to soften the overall contemporary shape of the head.

The center of gravity remains precisely positioned at the impact zone due to the innovative, progressive muscle back and extended heel design.

The half offset, flare neck hosel has been appointed to keep the golfer's hands slightly forward during the putting stroke. Five grams have been removed from the overall toe weighted modern head and now weighs in at 355 grams. The black PVD finish adds to this modern putter. The SS8 features a 71-degree lie angle and 3-degrees of loft. Both 34-inch and 35-inch lengths are available.

According to STX Golf Marketing Manager Jason Dengler, "The redesign of the SS8 is simple but significant. Not only does the putter look more refined but the weighing changes make it easier to maneuver and control."

Each putter model in the Sync Series Collection features the STX patented Soft Insert Technology called "F.E.E.L." - Friction Enhancing Elastomer Layer. This exclusive technology dramatically increases the coefficient of friction to put a greater amount of forward roll on the ball and keep your putts on line. The Soft Face Insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter longer to also provide superior directional control, decreased ball skid and reduced ball deformation.

The black insert is the softest in the STX line. It delivers the highest friction and resilience rate with increased dwell time. Those characteristics are chemically formulated to get the ball rolling sooner and keep your putts on line. For a medium resiliency rate, the red insert offers an intermediate amount of dwell time for a firmer feel and true control.

The newly redesigned SS8 is available immediately. Suggested retail is $109.99. For more information on the SS8 Putter or the entire line of Sync Series Putters, visit the company website at www.stxgolf.com or the STX Facebook.
