Bloodline Golf Congratulates Ernie Els on Tying the Course Record in the Final Round of the PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic

Els used the Vale Putter and was #1 in putts per round for the third round, needing only 21 putts to shoot a bogey-free 63.

(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) — Bloodline Golf is pleased to announce that its Vale   putter was used by Ernie Els to tie the course record during the third round of the PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic at The Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course in Richmond, VA.

Els shot 70-72 before finishing with a bogey-free 63, a round that included nine birdies and only 21 putts. He was No. 1 in putts per round for the third round and finished tied for 4th place at 11-under, moving him up from No. 5 to No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

“We would like to congratulate Ernie on shooting a 63, tying the course record, and being No. 1 in putts per round during the third round of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic,” said Brad Adams, Bloodline CEO. “We are thrilled for him and excited that he trusts our technology and the design of our Vale putter to put it in play on the PGA TOUR Champions.”

Els first played Bloodline's original R1-J blade putter in mid-2017 and was the first player to use Bloodline in a major championship when he played it in the U.S. Open at Erin Hills in 2017. He finished 2017 ranked #4 in the statistical category "Total Putting" on the PGA Tour.

“I fell in love with the feel and roll the first time I used the putter,” said Els. “Then, the more I worked with the Bloodline technology, the more I felt like it was helping my confidence and also my consistency. I’m very impressed with the putter technology and happy to be using the Vale putter during my record-tying round at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic.”

Els, who joined PGA TOUR Champions in 2020, has victories at the Hoag Classic and SAS Championship during his rookie campaign. He has 15 top-10s including a T9 finish at last year’s Dominion Energy Charity Classic.

Bloodline has developed a putter line which includes a high-performance carbon fiber shaft that contributes to the putter's unique capability to stand up by itself on the green.  In designing its putters, the company created an ultralight shaft that does not compromise on feel or flex characteristics and also includes an oversized gripping section built directly into the shaft. This pioneering construction enables Bloodline putters to have an extremely low balance point that helps give more feel and release during the stroke.

The Vale putter features:

- High-Performance Polymer (HPP) head shape and construction

- Tungsten-infused face insert

- Ultra-light carbon fiber shaft and EVA grip with an ultra-sensitive feeling wrap

- Patented head, sole, and balance point design features

All Bloodline putters feature interchangeable/adjustable components. The ability to interchange a variety of shaft/hosel combinations and lengths and lies enables golfers of all levels and putting styles to easily get the proper fit.

“Our Vale putters are made in the U.S. so there is no problem with shipping delays,” added Adams. “They are available for immediate delivery.”

The complete line of Bloodline putters including the Vale and the R-Series, are available at a growing number of select retail locations. For more information about Bloodline authorized retailers or to purchase Bloodline putters, visit www.bloodline.golf
