Golf Digest Bestows Latest Accolades on Branson/Lakes Area Golf Courses

(BRANSON/LAKES AREA, MISSOURI) – Acclaimed for its collection of golf courses by multiple media outlets, the Branson/Lakes Area destination has added distinction via Big Cedar Lodge, named a “Best Resort 2016” in North America by Golf Digest.

The distinction stems from the resort’s golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio, as well as Big Cedar’s rustic lodges, lakeside cabins and cottages, plethora of unique recreational amenities and superlative customer friendly service.

The resort’s two existing courses are played during the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf, a PGA TOUR Champions event.  Top of the Rock (Nicklaus) is “the world’s best par-3 course” according to World Golf Hall of Fame member Gary Player, and Buffalo Ridge Springs (Fazio) is a Golf Digest “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” honoree.

Two new Big Cedar Lodge courses are under construction, a 12-hole family friendly course by Player and an 18-hole championship layout by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.

Other Branson/Lakes Area golf courses having garnered best-in-kind honors in a variety of categories across a number of outlets include Branson Hills, LedgeStone and Thousand Hills.
