Premier Golf Merges with Wide World of Golf to Create Largest Golf Travel Company

(DULUTH, GA) – Premier Golf – a division of Travel Incorporated, one of America’s 10 largest travel companies – has merged with legendary golf tour operator Wide World of Golf under the Premier Golf name.

The merger creates America’s largest and most experienced company in the golf travel industry.

Premier Golf has been a licensed partner of the PGA of America for 25 years, managing many facets of the organization’s in-house travel department, professional golf management programs nationwide and package fulfillment for PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, FL. It also operates trips to several classic and famous golf destinations worldwide for individuals as well as small, mid-size and large groups.

Since 1991, Premier Golf has been licensed by the PGA of America as the only official source for Ryder Cup packages, sending more than 25,000 people to golf’s greatest event. The company is currently offering all-inclusive travel packages to the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in Scotland in late September.

For more than a half-century, Wide World of Golf has been known as the innovator in international golf travel. Company founder Michael Roseto is widely dubbed “father of the international golf tour” and its President, Bill Hogan, recognized as a foremost expert in global golf travel over nearly three decades, will become International Director of Premier Golf.

“We are ecstatic about Wide World of Golf joining our team,” says Jim Ward, President of Premier Golf.  “Bill Hogan brings a tremendous experience and expertise, and, to further enhance experiences of our international travelers, we plan to add even more support in our Ireland and Scotland offices.”

“The synergies between the two companies beautifully align,” says Hogan. “We both prioritize the client and delivering first-class trips, known trophy courses and hidden gems spanning the globe.”
