(Flushing, Mich.) — Orlimar has added two deep milled-face putters to its line-up. The Makena, a classic face-balance blade putter, and the Malibu, a flanged mallet putter, will complete its milled-face putter offerings for 2013.
The Makena putter is a classic face-balance blade putter, with a deep milled-face, made of 304 stainless steel and a head weight of 344 grams. The perimeter-weighted putter has two-5-gram heel-toe weights to help with stability on off-center hits and a single alignment line in the cavity for accuracy to the target. The Makena features a plumber neck hosel and is available in a 35-inch length with a loft of 3 degrees and lie of 72 degrees.
The Malibu is a flanged mallet putter that features a deep milled face, made of 304 stainless steel and a head weight of 355 grams. The milled-face provides a soft feel off the putter head for a more accurate roll. The putter has two-5-gram heel-toe weights to provide perimeter weighting and added stability on off-center hits. The Malibu is a 3-bend, heel-shafted putter with a single alignment line in the cavity of the putter. The Malibu is available in a 35-inch length with a loft of 3 degrees and a lie of 72 degrees.
“The Makena and Malibu are designed to appeal to golfers looking for a traditional blade and mallet putter. By using a milled-face, golfers will experience a softer feel and better roll,” said Nigel Matthews, product development manager. “Consumers who have tested the Makena and Malibu putters have given them both high marks on looks, feel and performance.”
The Makena and Malibu are available in right handed only for a suggested retail of $149.99.
