Portion of Proceeds from Sale of DVD, 'Butch Harmon about Golf,' Benefit Worthy Cause
(LAS VEGAS, NV) - Renowned golf instructor Butch Harmon announced that he's contributing $25.00 from the proceeds of the sale of each of his instructional DVDs, "Butch Harmon About Golf presented by Titleist", to the Harmon's Heroes Foundation which directly benefits our wounded war vets. This (2) set DVD is the ultimate golf instructional DVD for players of all skill levels from the 30+ handicapper to the tour players; more information about Butch's DVD can be found online at www.butchharmondvd.com.
Harmon's annual Veteran's Day tournament in Las Vegas on behalf of the Vets has been successful raising money, and this DVD effort will help raise additional funding. To catalyze donations, the pledge will appear in a full-page ad in the next issue of Golf Digest, which hits newsstands in early April.
More information on the Harmon's Heroes Foundation can be found at www.harmonsheroesfoundation.org.
"Many of us have no idea what these veterans face once they get home," says the 69-year-old Harmon, whose father Claude was a long-time golf professional at Winged Foot Country Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. and also the winner of the 1948 Masters.
"The American Soldiers have always been my heroes and those that have made the ultimate personal sacrifice, in terms of loss of some or all of their physical or mental facilities, are part of the group that the Harmon's Heroes Foundation tries to help."
"In the past and for the foreseeable future we will continue to hold golf and other charity functions to raise monies to help support this worthy cause. To that end I am directing the "Butch Harmon About Golf" staff to set aside $25 from the sale of each DVD that is sold, and donate those proceeds to the Harmon's Heroes Foundation, effective immediately, thru April 10th. "
John and Cathy Manni, founders of JM Adjustment, and a sponsor of "Butch Harmon About Golf" DVD, have graciously agreed to match the total donations received from the sale of each DVD, thru April 10th .
Thus through their combined efforts, $50 will be donated to The Harmon's Heroes Foundation for every DVD sold.
