Bolingbrook Golf Academy Celebrates Successful 2021 Season Led by New Director of Player Development

(BOLINGBROOK, Illinois) – After hiring a new director of player development in May, Bolingbrook Golf Club is pleased to share the results of expanded player development programming and initiatives for players of all skill levels at the Bolingbrook Golf Academy during the 2021 season.

From teaching the basic fundamentals to on course management, Bolingbrook Golf Academy player development programming this year included men’s, ladies and junior coaching programs, junior camps, PGA Jr. League, Ladies Links & Drinks events, and private lessons. Bolingbrook Golf Club is also a proud supporter of Youth On Course, which offers youth with access to life-changing opportunities through the game of golf. Programming was led by Director of Player Development BJ Paul, an 18-year member of the PGA of America who joined the team this past May.

“My first season at Bolingbrook Golf Club has been amazing, and I am truly blessed to be the director of player development at a top-notch facility,” said Paul. “Throughout our programming, we made great progress in establishing ourselves in the Bolingbrook community, and I look forward to 2022 with an increased schedule of offerings.”

The programs Paul orchestrated at Bolingbrook attracted more than 250 participants ranging from junior golfers to adult players. In addition, Paul helped 32 golfers within his clientele achieve career best scores.

According to the parent of a junior golfer attending one of Paul’s camps, “All the kids had fun, and he (BJ) made sure that everybody got to participate and came away from the experience with a positive feeling for the game.”

“Bolingbrook Golf Club is committed to offering fun and engaging programs for the local community to grow the game of golf,” said Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta. “I’m inspired by the dedication of the instructional staff, including the immediate impact BJ Paul has had on the growth of the programs, as well as their commitment to best-in-class service.”

Winter lessons are available in the cart barn at the main clubhouse as well as in the log cabin office at the Academy. For general information and to register for winter lessons, call the Bolingbrook Golf Academy at (630) 771-9400 ext. 4500 or contact BJ Paul directly at bjpaul@bolingbrookgolfclub.com.
