(Monroe Township, N.J.) — Forsgate Country Club congratulates Frank Esposito, a member of its Teaching Professional staff, on making it into the field of the final qualifying tournament for a chance to play on the PGA TOUR Champions Tour in 2020. Esposito successfully advanced to the Final Stage, which is being held this week at the TPC Scottsdale, when he finished in third place at the Florida qualifier on the TPC Tampa Bay course in November. Esposito is one of 78 players in the Final Stage field.
“This is a significant achievement for Frank as hundreds of the world’s best senior golfers and former PGA TOUR players battled to earn a berth in the prestigious Final Stage of the PGA TOUR Champions Qualifying Tournament,” said Chris Schiavone, Forsgate’s Managing Partner. “Everyone at the club wishes Frank well in his quest to qualify as an exempt member of the 2020 Champions Tour. We are proud to support such an accomplished member of our staff.”
Esposito, 56, is considered by many as New Jersey’s best senior golfer. He has played in PGA TOUR Champions Tour tournaments, competed in the U.S. Open and in two PGA Championships. In 2014, he won the prestigious Senior PGA Professional National Championship. Esposito has a stellar New Jersey golf resume. He is a two-time NJ Open champion, a three-time NJ Senior Open Championship winner, and is a member of the New Jersey PGA Hall of Fame.
