Acclaimed Poconos Resort Anticipates Extra Spooky Halloween Season

Woodloch Pines gears up for fall and specialty Halloween weekends that feature haunted hayrides, pumpkin painting, costume parties and more

(Hawley, PA) – Coming off the bustling summer season, Woodloch Pines, an award-winning, all-inclusive family resort, looks forward to the tranquility of fall in the picturesque Pennsylvania Pocono Mountains. Gorgeous autumnal colors on the trees, crisp cooler air, and delectable fall treats (pumpkin spice everything!) are just the tip of the iceberg at this popular destination. Fall also marks the start of Woodloch’s spooky season with the main event being their signature haunted hayrides, one of the family resort’s most popular annual attractions.

For over 25 years now, Woodloch has been thrilling guests with their eerie haunted hayrides, which have only become more elaborate over time. Wagons wind their way through the resort’s heavily wooded nature trail, transformed to mimic scenes from popular horror films, and Woodloch’s enthusiastic Activities Staff embody the frightening characters straight out of those movies. The haunted hayrides include sound effects, pyrotechnics, expert lighting and professional costumes and makeup on staffers. While the rides’ “secret ingredients” remain classified information, guests can look forward to brand new scares showcasing a black light fun house, a haunted carousel, and Game of Thrones themed characters.

In addition to their trademark haunted hayrides, Halloween Weekend stays at Woodloch feature:
- Pumpkin Painting
- Trick or Treating
- Halloween Scavenger Hunts
- Halloween Costume Parties with games and prizes
- Competitive contests such as “Halloween Wars" and "Boo-Lympics”
- Indoor pool, hot tubs, and Splash Zone featuring a double corkscrew super slide and “Superdome” water tower which sends 300 gallons of water splashing down every few minutes
- Some of the family resort’s most popular amenities such as a zip-line and climbing wall, go-karts, bumper cars, and a Broadway-style theme show

Woodloch’s Activities Director, Joey Ranner, remarks, “I think both staff and guests would agree that our Halloween weekends are some of the most fun of the year. Our staff outdoes themselves getting into character and creating extra spooky scenes. The production value is great, and our guests are amazed and pleasantly spooked by the entire experience. Their reactions make the rides that much more memorable!”

Halloween Weekend rates start at $199 per adult, per night. To obtain more information or to book a stay, plase visit woodloch.com or call 1-800-Woodloch.
