(IRVINE, CA) - Golf apparel manufacturer Carnoustie Sportswear has introduced its Spring 16 men's performance outerwear and shorts.
We have developed the perfect complement to our performance knits with the introduction of the Hogan outerwear collection. Fabricated in a blend of polyester and lycra, in the perfect year round weight, and offered in both a vest and 1/4 zip model, this outerwear has already become an important classification in its own right. Both styles feature a classic flat knit detail with tipping at the neck and contrast zipper details which distinguish them from the competition and allows these styles to be merchandised with the balance of the collection in a meaningful way.
"Golf, like many other sports such as skiing, has become all about layering," says CEO Marshall Mancillas. "As a skier, I always knew how important it was to be able to adapt to changing conditions. Today, with the advent of these wonderful new technical fabrics, we can offer a style like the Hogan, which is lightweight yet will keep the player comfortable in a wide variety of conditions."

The Hogan outerwear collection is featured in all three merchandise groups for Spring 16: Classic, Resort and Desert.
Our line of performance shorts has been expanded for spring 16. Based on the success of our solid performance short we introduced last year, we have added a printed plaid performance short for each merchandise group which adds that perfect fancy short for each collection. These styles are well made and feature an elastic gripper waistband for comfort, two way stretch, an antimicrobial finish, and easy care and moisture wicking properties. These shorts are the quintessential addition to any spring merchandise group. They are fun and embody the spirit of Spring. "Why put an ordinary khaki short with that new polo," says Mancillas. "Instead, pair that new polo with one of our performance shorts in that perfect shade of blue, or orange or green. My job is to make our player look coordinated, but not too coordinated. That's a skill and we make it easy at Carnoustie."
