(CHICAGO) – Wilson Golf is excited to announce the multi-year signing of PGA Tour professional Brendan Steele to its Advisory Staff.
After weeks of testing Wilson Staff irons, utility clubs and wedges, Brendan agreed that the FG Tour™ line of equipment is the perfect fit for his playing style.
“The main draw for me to test Wilson Staff equipment came after I spotted the FG Tour 100 irons out here on tour,” explained Steele. “I’m a blade player, and for me, look is important, as is the feel at impact. These irons go above and beyond in both categories.”
Steele also tested and has put into play the new Wilson Staff FG Tour V4 irons and utilities, both of which received design input from fellow Wilson Advisory Staff members Kevin Streelman, Ricky Barnes and three-time major winner Padraig Harrington.
“I’m excited to put a combination of both FG Tour 100 blades and FG Tour V4 cavity backs in my bag,” commented Steele. “The FG Tour V4 utilities and low irons provide me the versatility and forgiveness I need on longer par fours, and the FG Tour 100 irons give me so much feel and workability closer to the scoring zone.”
“This signing isn’t about just adding another bag on tour,” explained Tim Clarke, President, Wilson Golf. “Brendan is a class act, he’s family-oriented and is constantly focused on his next win. He will stand alongside Streelman and other our players very well.”
Brendan is set to debut his new Wilson Staff Centennial Pro Tour Bag and Wilson Staff cap this week at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi.
A frequent user of social media, Steele (@Brendan_Steele) posted a picture on Twitter of a pumpkin with a Wilson Staff logo carved into it, commenting, “Happy to announce my new partnership with @WilsonGolf!”

* FG Tour V4 2 utility iron (dependent on course conditions)
