EWGA Members Compete in Wilson Staff Par 3 Challenge

(Chicago) - To raise financial support for the Executive Women's Golf Association, Wilson Golf hosted a DUO/D100 Par 3 Challenge at the 2013 EWGA National Conference on the Port Royal Plantation's Barony Golf Course last week.

Eighty-eight percent of the female golfers competing in this event paid $10 to participate, which consisted of using DUO golf balls and a D100 club of preference to attempt to hit the green. 22 women succeeded and were awarded another sleeve of DUO golf balls, and the three "closest to the pin" winners were merited a D100 golf wood of choice.

Earnings from the fundraiser were bestowed upon the organization to help grow its efforts in connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and fun.

"The EWGA always looks for partnerships that can create a win-win among our members and foundation," stated Ashley Nelson, EWGA Director of Business Development. "The Par 3 Challenge sets up perfectly for a fundraiser; with the players and foundation both winning. I encourage all tournaments to incorporate Wilson Golf into their event lineup."

"One of the initiatives of the EWGA is to provide females a fun experience on the golf course; we helped do just that," commented John White, territory manager of the Carolina region. "These women come with a competitive spirit and had a blast swinging Wilson Staff equipment they may or may not have tried before."
