(ORLANDO, Fla.) – Celebrated golf coach Jeff Ritter, the No. 7 teacher in the state of California as ranked by Golf Digest magazine, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive February 2 and 3.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern.
Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Ritter is making his second appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m excited again to be appearing on Morning Drive,” said Ritter, a member of Golf Digest’s original “Best Young Teachers in America” list. “Golf Channel has done a tremendous job with their instructional programming and it’s an honor to be working with a great group of coaches. The Morning Drive crew is always a lot of fun and I look forward to getting back there and delivering some cool game-improvement strategies for people to try at home.”
An accomplished coach, author and motivational speaker, Ritter is the current National Director of Instruction for Nike Golf Schools and Junior Camps. He is also a regular contributor to Golf Digest and Golf Channel Academy Magazine and is creator of the MAKE THE TURN Weekly Challenge Series in association with Golf Digest TV. A native of Lancaster, Pa., Ritter attended the same high school (Manheim Township H.S.) as PGA Tour star Jim Furyk.
As a Golf Channel Academy coach, Ritter continues to teach the way he knows best. The underlying philosophy of Golf Channel Academy is that the best golf “teaching” is done through “coaching” — that is, an on-going relationship between player and teacher devoted to long-lasting improvement.
