Two Global Golf Leaders Team up to Create World's Smartest Golf Grips

(San Francisco) – Two companies want to turn your golf clubs into the world’s smartest golf clubs. In a press conference at the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the world leader in shot-tracking technology announced that it has teamed up with the #1 Grip in Golf to make it easier for golfers to know more about their games.

Coming soon, GAME GOLF’s high-powered shot-tracking technology will be embedded in Golf Pride's #1 performance grip model on Tour, the Tour Velvet, to produce the world’s first, all-in-one, tech-enabled system for tracking golf shot performance on the course.

New GOLF PRIDE TECH ENABLED GRIPS delivering integrated GAME GOLF technology will be available in spring during the heart of the golf season in North America. The new grips have GAME GOLF GPS Sensor Tags seamlessly integrated into each grip so that there is no impact on club weight or swing comfort.

Golfers pull the clubs from their bags, touch the grip to their GAME GOLF device or Android phone, and hit their shots. GAME GOLF captures robust data on each shot that is visible on the GAME GOLF app, on any iOS or Android phone or watch,* or on the golfer’s computer after the round.

Exclusive to GOLF PRIDE TECH ENABLED GRIPS, the Game Golf system also notifies the golfer when it’s time to re-grip their clubs based on number of rounds played and the actual wear-and-tear.  Some clubs get more use than others and the system will help you monitor the life left in each grip individually.

The new grips have a sleek black and white high-tech design with a flash of GAME GOLF’s signature red, and features Golf Pride’s state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a non-slip surface pattern for maximum playability, comfort, and confidence.

The GAME GOLF tags easily embed into the cavity in the end cap of each grip without protruding, sitting flush at the top.  New GOLF PRIDE TECH ENABLED GRIPS will automatically notify the user when it’s time to re-grip, making it easier to play better and more comfortably on the course.
