(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) — In sudden death playoff at the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge, the first and second place finishers went head to head, both with Dynamic Gold in the bag, for the title on Sunday.
The winner came from four shots behind and made an incredible approach shot for a hole-out par on the last hole to force a playoff. In the playoff hole, his two-putt par closed out the No.1 player in the world, and subsequently moved the winner into the top 10 in the world ranking.
“This was a great finish to the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge and it really came down to approach shots,” said Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “To see the winner come from four shots behind in just eight holes with two birdies and two pars for the win, really speaks to the accuracy of his iron play. We are proud that Dynamic Gold played such a big role in the games of both the winner and the runner up’s game.”
