(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - The April episode of the Traveling Golfer television show showcases the stunning beauty, Swiss-inspired five-star accommodations and exquisitely abundant golf in Heber Valley, Utah.
Framed by the Wasatch Mountains, Heber Valley is a short 45-minute drive from the Salt Lake City airport, with only one stop light along the route. With three state parks, blue-ribbon fishing, the 65-foot deep Homestead Crater, 30 non-chain restaurants and five mountain golf courses, Heber Valley is an action-packed destination with activities year-round for the visitor.
The Traveling Golfer, the golf and lifestyle show that was named the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America by the International Network of Golf, provides an in-depth look at all of the golf in the Heber Valley, as well as all of the other activities, accommodations and restaurants.
The jewel of Heber Valley is the Zermatt Resort, fashioned in the style of architecture from Switzerland, both on the inside and outside of the property. A world-class spa, an indoor and outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi under a two-story man-made waterfall are some of the many luxuries the Zermatt offers its guests.

Soldier Hollow Golf Course -- designed by Gene Bates near the grounds of the former Winter Olympics' cross country and biathlon events - opened in 2004. It plays as a links-style course where the wide fairways lie unaffected by the dramatic elevation changes common to mountain courses.
Crater Springs Golf Course, directly across the street from the Zermatt Resort, is a scenic shotmaker's course. The front nine plays longer than the back, including three par five holes and generous tee shot landing areas. The back nine is a bit shorter and tighter, with water coming into play more often. The entire course is framed beautifully by the Wasatch Mountains.
At Wasatch Mountain Golf Course, there are 36 holes to enjoy inside the 23,000 acres of Wasatch State Park. The Lake Course at Wasatch Mountain GC was built in 1967. It is a player friendly course with relatively flat fairways and water-guarded par three holes. On the Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain GC, elevation change is more of a factor with some par five holes that play downhill with minimal bunkers. Both courses have large greens, where undulation is kept to a minimum, which adds to the player-friendly reputation.
"I knew that Utah was a paradise for skiing," said Traveling Golfer host Tony Leodora. "And I knew it was a haven for the outdoor enthusiast. But I never dreamed that such quality golf existed in the area. If a visitor came to Heber Valley and did nothing other than play golf, they would still be totally satisfied."

The show won first place for golf television broadcasts in the prestigious International Network of Golf Awards, presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in January.
The Traveling Golfer is a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 15 years of experience in televised golf.
