Mizuno's Groundbreaking JPX EZ Forged Irons Stand as Most Forgiving Grain Flow Forged Iron Ever

Innovative irons provide players with "game-improvement" length and trajectory with a forged feel

(Norcross, Ga.) - Mizuno, a leader in golf technology and innovation, announced the launch of its most innovative and forgiving grain flow forged irons to date, JPX EZ Forged. Pushing the design and aesthetic limits, Mizuno went away from their "classic" look used for decades while improving the feel, forgiveness and performance of an iron that plays like a forged iron, but delivers stats only seen in the game-improvement category.

The JPX EZ Forged irons incorporate an enhanced COR face design for increased distance while Grain Flow Forged 1025E "Pure Select" mild carbon steel provides a superior soft, solid and consistent feel. The EZ Forged irons feature two unique designs to optimize performance for any aspect of iron play. 23 grams of weight was moved to the perimeter of the four-through-seven irons providing maximum MOI while offering optimum forgiveness through the use of an Undercut Forged Cavity that creates an expanded rebound area and largest sweet spot in a one-piece forged iron. They also offer CORTECH Design to optimize COR while providing maximum discretionary weight for added distance and forgiveness. The extreme toe/heel weighted cavity design throughout the set maintains an industry leading MOI and purveys confidence for golfers at address.

"During ideation, development and creation of the JPX EZ Forged iron we knew it would be in a class all by itself, which, in the golf industry, is difficult to claim and something we are extremely proud of," said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA, Inc. "The distance and forgiveness screams game-improvement, but we've been able to channel those characteristics in a grain flow forged iron that'll change the way golfers look, think and feel over the golf ball. We're excited to receive consumer feedback as we believe the new EZ Forged appeals to a wide breadth of golfers."

Mizuno utilized its Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.) to engineer a strong cavity frame that allows for a thinner, more reactive face. This allows the JPX EZ Forged to deliver increased initial ball speed with a solid feel at impact. Black Nickel-plated finish reduces glare and creates a stunning aesthetic look.
