Antigua Introduces Its Spring 2014 Men's Collection

(PEORIA, AZ) - The Antigua Group, Inc. - one of the nation's leading designers and marketers of lifestyle and golf apparel under the distinguished Antigua brand - has unveiled its Spring '14 Performance 72 Golf Collection.

"Last Spring's line was fantastic and set new sales records for Antigua. Spring 2014 looks to be even better," said Ron McPherson, president and CEO of Antigua. "The line has vivid color, sophisticated styling and luxurious fabrics … truly a winning combination."

If standard par performance on the course is 72, the standard for performance golf fashion collections internationally is Antigua's Performance 72. It's the benchmark for quality, fit, and viability of performance fabrications. It demonstrates attention to detail, highlighting just the right accents. And it's performance with style. This apparel is perfect for the course - and for off the course, as well. To boot, our proprietary Desert Dry and Desert Dry Xtra-Lite moisture management technology will wick away moisture.

Antigua's Spring '14 Performance 72 Golf Collection for men is replete with 17 shirt models, 12 outerwear tops, two shorts and seven hats. Some highlights include:

Icon: This fresh 100 percent polyester shirt features Desert Dry moisture wicking technology, keeping golfers dry and cool. It's a pique textured, tonal stripe short-sleeve polo with a three-button placket, open cuff, contrast overstitch detail at the cuff, armhole and shoulder.

Highlight: A 100 percent polyester, short-sleeve polo, it boasts Desert Dry Xtra-Lite moisture management technology. This garment combines dull and shiny tonal stripes with solid insets and a flat knit collar.

Logic: Made of 86 percent polyester and 14 percent spandex, this short-sleeve pullover features Desert Dry moisture management, to keep golfers dry and comfortable. It has a heavy jersey face and a micro fleece back. It's quarter-zip placket, contrast inset details, self-fabric collar, and cut-and-sew cuff make it both attractive and practical.

Charge: A long-sleeve pullover with half-zip placket, this has contrast two-color feed stripe insets at the top shoulder and sides, along with contrast cover stitching on the chest seam and stand-up collar with contrast binding. It's made of 84 percent polyester and 16 percent spandex, and is protected with Desert Dry moisture management technology. It's a lightweight outer piece that's the perfect alternative to a polo.

Belize: A 100 percent polyester pair of shorts with Desert Dry moisture management, it's a yarn-dyed stripe, peached-woven garment with a self-fabric waist band and belt loops, front and back pockets, and a hidden back scorecard pocket.

Aruba: This 100 percent polyester pair of shorts features Desert Dry moisture management. It's a solid peached woven short with self fabric waist band and belt loops, front and back pockets, and a hidden on seam back waist band pocket. A classic look with conservative styling.

Shade: A great new look in headwear, this 100 percent polyester heathered jersey baseball-style hat features structured panels, Velcro back, and tonal piping at the front side seams.

"The collection offers new color direction with a bit of sport vibe as added influence," says Sean Gregg, director of product development and director of marketing support. "Atomic adds a punch of orange pop, Glow is a hot nod to neon, Aquarius is the cleanest of true-blues - the shade just above horizon at dusk, Aster is an imperialistic purple with a bluish lean toward regal, and Light Apple is reminiscent of an apple whipped to a sorbet."

This collection brings an ideal fit that's specific to golf. Attention to details includes the likes of eliminating the sleeve cap, so that the garment performs with you and not against you, allowing golfers freedom of swing motion. We've also used lightweight stretch material in the outerwear to keep golfers comfortable in a wide outside temperature range.
