Eastside Golf and Jordan Brand Drop Second Co-Branded Sneaker Collaboration

(ATLANTA)
— Following the debut collaboration between Eastside Golf and Jordan Brand on the 2021 Air Jordan 4 Golf, officials from Eastside Golf hosted an exclusive kickoff party in Atlanta to debut their latest co-branded sneaker collab with off-course sneakers the Air Jordan 1 Low and the Air Jordan 12 Mid along with on-course golf shoes the Air Jordan 1 High Golf, the Air Jordan 12 Low Golf and the Jordan ADG Golf.

The theme for the collection is OUT OF THE MUD: For the second time, Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf have partnered in developing a capsule collection to inspire young professionals and show that golf can be used as a tool to help them progress in life.

Olajuwon Ajanaku, the Founder of Eastside Golf grew up in East Atlanta. He gained a golf scholarship to Morehouse College and won a National Championship alongside his co-founder, Earl Cooper. Together, the two formed Eastside Golf with a mission to build a lifestyle golf brand developed to raise awareness about golf among youth and non-golfers and to inspire the culture, promote diversity and continue to be authentic.

While mud is almost universally regarded as negative, many young entrepreneurs are flipping the narrative and embracing the mud as the inspiration for their achievement and the ground floor from which it only gets better.

Not only has Eastside Golf embraced the concept of getting it "out of the mud," the use of red clay on the product as a visual cue is a direct nod to their own journey of overcoming adversity through the game of golf.

The collection is a tangible artifact showing that golf can be, and is, a way to help you win in life. Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf come together to drive a movement around the game of golf. A movement that authentically adds diversity to the game and breaks down barriers by creating an alternative to the sport’s inherent elitism that feels not only aspirational, but also representative of the future.

Out of the red clay, out of the mud…into your goals:

Air Jordan XII Low Golf - Eastside Golf

Returning to Michael Jordan's game-winning classic—but this time built for golf—the AJ12 Low gears up for the course with a springy, full-length Zoom Air unit, plus a hybrid outsole with integrated traction and 7 removable spikes. Transcending traditional golf attire, the design's Metallic Gold accents add flash to your step while sunrise-inspired stitch lines on the upper recall the original '96 design. The Burnt Sunrise outsole symbolizes red clay mud —a reminder that you can overcome adversity, no matter where a bad shot lands you. With legendary looks, all-star features, and Eastside Golf branding throughout, there's nothing stopping you from hitting the back 9.

Air Jordan 12 - Eastside Golf

Transcending traditional golf attire, the AJ12’s design's premium leather and neutral colorway pair with Metallic Gold accents takes a unique pivot from the course to the basketball court. The Burnt Sunrise outsole has a "mud-splatter" effect—a reminder that you can overcome adversity, no matter where a bad shot lands you. Eastside Golf branding, a special edition hangtag, and a custom shoebox add an authentic finish to your game.

Air Jordan 1 High Golf - Eastside Golf

Tailoring the timeless look of MJ's first signature shoe for the golf course, the AJ1 High will keep you comfortable for 18 holes (or even 36). The design's crisp leather gives a premium feel while Metallic Gold accents add some flash to your swing. The grippy Burnt Sunrise outsole symbolizes red clay mud —a reminder that you can overcome adversity, no matter where a bad shot lands you. Eastside Golf branding and a custom shoebox add an authentic finish to your game.

Air Jordan 1 Low - Eastside Golf

The AJ1 Low’s supple Midnight Navy nubuck gives a premium feel while Metallic Gold lace tips add flash to your stride for wherever life may take you. The Redstone outsole symbolizes red clay mud —a reminder that you can overcome adversity, no matter where a bad shot lands you. Eastside Golf branding, a special edition hangtag, and a custom shoebox add an authentic finish to your game.

Jordan x Eastside Golf ADG

The Jordan x Eastside Golf ADG 4 infuses a classic silhouette with nods of Jordan soul. Full-grain, waterproof leather adorns the upper and is coupled with the iconic elephant print on the heel. A tonal Eastside Golf tongue label and red-clay accents connect the silhouette to the “Out the Mud” collection. The rubber sole has an integrated traction pattern that perfectly pairs the grip you need with the versatility and comfort you want.

This is the next generation of golf. You ready?

GOLFFOREVER Now Available at DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy

Retail partnership launches with GOLFFOREVER Training System immediately available for purchase online and in hundreds of stores by November 15

(Aspen, CO) – GOLFFOREVER – the leading at-home golf fitness training system that helps golfers play without limits – proudly announces that its popular GOLFFOREVER Swing Trainer is available at DICK'S Sporting Goods, (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S.-based full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer, and Golf Galaxy. The Swing Trainer is now available online at dicks.com and golfgalaxy.com and will be in more than 100 DICK’S and 110 Golf Galaxy brick-and-mortar stores, featuring all-new packaging, by November 15.

“DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy are the gold standards in retail and we’re honored the GOLFFOREVER Training System will be available for purchase in their stores,” said Stacy Borkowski, GOLFFOREVER VP of Sales. “This is a special milestone for our company; one that will go a long way toward materializing (Founder and CEO) Dr. Jeremy James’ vision of helping golfers everywhere improve their bodies and play the game without limits. We’re excited to support the visionary teams at DICK’S and Golf Galaxy and anticipate a long and fantastic relationship ahead.”

The GOLFFOREVER Swing Trainer embodies two golf training tools in one and is a key piece of equipment used in the GOLFFOREVER app. It’s an asymmetrical resistance training bar that builds strength and mobility for your swing at home like no other workout equipment can. It’s also an optimized D3 swing-weighted heavy warmup club that promotes thoracic mobility to help you loosen up at the course properly, unlike heavily overloaded golf training aids that only target your hands and wrists. Like every piece of equipment used in the GOLFFOREVER app – the 4.9 App Store-rated vehicle that delivers users personalized daily video workout and recovery plans from top PGA Tour doctors and trainers – the Swing Trainer comes to life with hundreds of step-by-step pre-round warmups, stretching routines, strength workouts and pain-relief protocols.

Earlier this year, Scottie Scheffler, the 2021-22 PGA Tour Player of the Year, started working with the groundbreaking product just weeks before winning four PGA Tour events, including the Masters, which catapulted him to the top of the world rankings. Scheffler uses the Swing Trainer daily at PGA Tour events and joined the GOLFFOREVER team as its marquee ambassador in May. He will be featured in stores on packaging and retail displays.

“We are proud to introduce the GOLFFOREVER Training System to our customers at DICK’S and Golf Galaxy, just in time for the holiday season,” said Eric Smith, Vice President of Golf at DICK’S Sporting Goods. “With this exciting new launch, we continue to offer innovative golf products to our customers so they can safely train and play better golf.”

Retailing at $199.99, the Swing Trainer includes a 44.5-inch training bar; two power-grade, soft, sweat-resistant 15-inch rubber grips with five specialized training zone demarcations; two easy-to-attach polymer carabiners; light- and medium-resistance latex training cords with nylon safety sleeves; a universal nylon door anchor; two quick-interchangeable weighted balls for warming up and speed training; and two interchangeable hand grips that transform the training cords into universal exercise tubing used in the GolfForever app’s warmups and workouts.

Club Champion Opens Four New Studios in Q3

Globe’s Top Club Fitter Continues 2022 Expansion

(Willowbrook, IL) – Club Champion, the globe’s top custom golf club fitter and builder, is continuing its record expansion with four brand new studios in the third quarter of 2022. Since the first quarter, the company has opened its 100th location, unveiled a flagship store in New York City, and opened a new distribution center in Arizona — now, they’re adding even more new markets to their existing footprint.

State-of-the-art fitting studios are now open in Albuquerque, NM; Princeton, NJ; San Jose, CA; and Wayne, PA. The club fitter is on track to reach 115 locations by the end of the year.

Since 2010, Club Champion has used components from over 60 brands, including names like Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, and many more to custom fit and build golf clubs for golfers of all skill levels. The company delivers a Tour-level fitting that produces longer, more accurate shots with a nearly 100% satisfaction rate.

Every Club Champion studio features at least two indoor hitting bays with TrackMan launch monitors for analyzing performance, a SAM PuttLab system to find the perfect putter, and a build shop for repairing and assembling golf clubs by hand. The roughly 3,000 square foot spaces also include a demo matrix to display the head and shaft options that make up their 50,000 hittable combinations.

"We’ll never get complacent with what we have,” said Nick Sherburne, founder of Club Champion. “These four locations further our main goal: give every golfer access to the best possible equipment and the data to show that it works for them.”

Ranked by Golf Digest as one of the 100 Best Club Fitters ten years running, Club Champion has a unique coupling system used to combine any head and shaft together, so golfers hit the precise combination they’ll use on the course. They also hand-build all their custom orders to the tightest tolerances in the industry using a single builder system — every order stays with the same builder from start to finish. No assembly lines or inconsistencies can be found as a part of the Club Champion build standards.

“We stand by our process, and it’s worked for over a decade,” said Sherburne. “We’ve seen golfers shave nearly ten strokes off their scores and with further improvements being made to equipment and our fitters’ knowledge, we can revolutionize the entire industry.”

For a limited time, the new stores in Albuquerque, Princeton, San Jose, and Wayne will celebrate their grand opening by offering 50% off fitting fees with an equipment purchase of $500 or more. Putter fittings are the only exception; they are 50% off with the purchase of a new putter. The studios are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found at www.clubchampion.com or by calling (888) 340-7820.

Club Champion Opens Flagship in New York City

Brand new studio concept is now up and running in Manhattan

(Willowbrook, IL) – On the heels of international acquisitions and the opening of their 100th store, Club Champion is now celebrating the grand opening of their new NYC flagship studio! Located at 220 E 42nd Street in Manhattan, the new studio boasts a modernized aesthetic and expands upon the custom club fitting services the brand already offered to the New York market.

This 4,400-square-foot location will feature four hitting bays and five Master Fitters. The NYC studio is only a block away from Grand Central Terminal and is nestled in a landmark skyscraper: the News Building. Known as the real-life counterpart of Metropolis’s Daily Planet from the 1978 Superman film, Club Champion took note of the history and the location when mapping out the site of its state-of-the-art flagship store.

"We've been planning this New York City flagship for a long time and it's incredibly gratifying to see it come to life," said Club Champion CEO, Adam Levy. "We're already laser-focused on upgrading the future of your golf game so it's time we applied the mindset to our own brand, and this studio concept is step one."

Club Champion club fittings were previously available in two New York City locations, both shared spaces with another retailer. This new studio replaces service from those two locations but will maintain and expand the existing crew of Master Fitters from the area.

"We're excited to enhance our customers’ experiences and meet the expectations of having a flagship location in a landmark building," said Levy. "Our brand has a very reliable look and feel no matter which of our 100+ markets you visit, but it was time to evolve that presentation for a new wave of stores and elevate the customer experience even further."

With updated graphics, logos, and printed materials, as well as a more customer-friendly common area, this location reflects the clubfitter’s relentless effort to remain atop the golf club fitting industry. The NYC studio will also feature the company’s famed club wall, which carries club components from over 60 brands and over 50,000 hittable club combinations for customers.

Pairing the ability to match any golfer’s swing with a perfect set of clubs with the updated aesthetic of the open, naturally lit studio makes this location a perfect fit for New York golfers looking to add more comfort, enjoyment, and lower scores to their golf experience.

For a limited time, the new Manhattan location will celebrate their grand opening by offering 50% off fitting fees with an equipment purchase of $500 or more. Putter fittings are the only exception; they are 50% off with the purchase of a new putter. The studios are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found at www.clubchampiongolf.com or by calling (888) 340-7820.

Club Champion Opens 100th Fitting Studio

Top club fitter reaches another milestone after unprecedented year

(Willowbrook, IL) – Fresh off of international expansion news, the globe’s top custom golf club fitter, Club Champion, is celebrating another massive achievement: 100 stores. With the addition of five international studios and a flurry of domestic openings, the brand is now on track to have 115 studios worldwide by the end of the year.

Now considered the premier custom club fitter worldwide, Club Champion offers Tour-quality club fittings and custom-built clubs for every level of golfer. Each state-of-the-art fitting studio houses over 50,000 hittable head and shaft combinations from over 60 golf manufacturers, alongside the best technology and talent the industry has to offer. Club Champion’s brand-agnostic approach has propelled them from a regional Chicagoland business to an award-winning international chain on an unprecedented growth trajectory.

"Five years ago, this felt like an impossibility,” said Club Champion founder, Nick Sherburne. “We knew we had a concept that worked — the data and customer feedback proved it. But to think that we’d be an international brand, opening a 100th location, looking at more innovations and expansion...this feels incredible.”

Earlier in 2022, Club Champion announced the acquisition of Tour Experience Golf (TXG) in Canada, Golf Principles in the UK, and PureForm Golf in Australia. The fitter has also expanded its footprint in Alabama, Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin, and entered the states of Arkansas and Idaho for the first time. Near-future plans are in progress for additional studios in Connecticut, California, and Georgia.

To celebrate this 100th studio milestone, Club Champion will be offering full bag fittings for $100 for a very limited time — more information on that promotion and about Club Champion can be found at www.clubchampiongolf.com, on social media, or by calling (888) 340-7820.

Best Universities for Golfers

(RELEASE) — Choosing a college can be a challenging time for students when considering all the factors that affect a decision. Between career choices and tuition rates, throwing a varsity sport into the mix makes the process even trickier.

If you’ve played golf competitively up until high school graduation, chances are you’re going to want to pursue golf in college and may even be looking for golf scholarships. Division I golf teams are very competitive and many of these universities have competitive admission processes as well.

Carl's Golfland gathered data from the National Collegiate Athletic Association and College Scorecard to form a list of best value universities for students hoping to join a Division I golf team. Although these institutions are ranked by best value using Carl's Golfland's choice of criteria, students should thoroughly research options to determine the best university for their specific situation.

Criteria Used

- Top 100 Golf Teams – NCAA Rankings of the Top 100 Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams
- Average Cost of Attendance – College Scorecard calculates this metric by adding the advertised tuition fees, average living costs, and subtracting the average financial aid. For public schools the average cost is calculated for in-state students.
- Average earnings 6 years post enrollment
- Average earnings 10 years post enrollment – Both these metrics are gathered by College Scorecard and are determined by former students’ (who received federal financial aid) median earnings 10 years after enrolling at the institution.

Spoiler alert: Both the University of Florida and University of Texas fared very well for men and women, alike, as did Duke and Wake Forest.

Although choosing a university can be daunting, it is an exciting time for prospective students who want to pursue golf on a college level. Competitive golfers can look forward to playing on quality courses and receiving top notch coaching during their studies, and there are numerous benefits to being part of a university sports team. Playing on a Division I team may be unattainable for some golfers, but there are many quality Division 2, Division 3, and club teams that enable students to continue golfing while they pursue a higher education.

The Club at New Seabury’s Golf Shop Wins 2020 AGM Platinum Award

Cape Cod Golf Shop rated among the best in the country

(Orlando, FL) – The Club at New Seabury was named winner of the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) Platinum Award for its recent renovation of its golf retail shop as well as the new ideas, creativity and revenue generating ideas. The award was presented at the AGM Annual Retail Conference in Orlando, FL.

“New Seabury was chosen as a Platinum Award recipient based on a superb entry of retail initiatives one of which highlighted the thoughtful planning of its newly designed golf shop,” said Desane Blaney Executive Director at Association of Golf Merchandisers. “Their re-energized efforts, creativity, adaptability and revenue-generating initiatives contributed to its record success and are a true benchmark in golf retail design and development.”

The Club at New Seabury, a premier Private Golf and Resort Community, realized a significant property renovation in January 2019 and at the center of the project was the transformation of its clubhouse, home to The Golf Shop. The Club modernized its existing structure and introduced a design that reflected the area and the Cape Cod lifestyle.

“Customer service and how we best satisfy customers is what drives most decisions of our golf operation,” said Jim Clay, Director of Golf at the Club at New Seabury, who accepted the award. “We really focused on improving the member shopping experience. To help achieve that we implemented new training and placed an emphasis on improving staff product knowledge.”

The new 1,900-square-foot renovated space was adorned with a new décor from a lighter color palette and new display layouts and wall décor that transitioned from pictures to seaside toned woods and photography of the resort. A lighting upgrade to LED, made the room warm and bright. New colors jumped off the displays and grabbed the customers’ attention, while the store transitioned to a lifestyle shop and appealed to golfers and more.

“The transition into a lifestyle shop appealed to many and also added to New Seabury’s customer base,” added Clay. “Those not in the market to buy golf balls purchased apparel and accessories. By introducing new products to the shop, including branded Cape Cod and Club products, we saw sales really skyrocket.”

Successful by all measures, sales escalated and year over year, merchandise dramatically improved with total shop sales increasing by 56%, including a 49% increase in men’s and women’s apparel. And, in particular, the accessories category saw a major year-over-year increase of 102% from $24,653 to $50,039. By selling the lifestyle, New Seabury amplified sales on non-golf-related merchandise and more lifestyle products.

Lamkin Introduces Interactive Putter Grip Fitting System at Retailers Worldwide

Allows Golfers to Quickly, Easily Demo Various Styles to Find the Best Fit

(SAN DIEGO, CA) – Lamkin Corporation – leading manufacturer of premium golf grips – is rolling out its interactive Putter Grip Fitting System at retail partners worldwide, a first-of-its-kind solution that allows golfers to quickly and easily demo a variety of putter grips to help find the model that best complements their unique preferences and putting styles.

Determining the correct grip size and shape is a critical factor impacting putting performance. Several aspects need to be considered, including hand-size, stroke mechanics, general pattern of misses, hand placement on the grip and more.  Lamkin is dedicated to helping consumers sink more putts by providing options in different sizes, shapes and materials. This includes a range of models that feature traditional pistol and straight profiles in both rubber and polyurethane options.

Golfers simply select the “Clip-on-Grip” they wish to try from the display and with one click it fits into the putter base provided, the popular TaylorMade Spider X. By removing the putter style from the equation golfers can use the retailers putting green, to compare putter grip performance, feel and traction.

All necessary components and directions are included on the display, which offers guidance on which shape, size and texture are best adapted to the three most common putting strokes and seven gripping styles (standard, overlap, reverse overlap, palm-to-palm, finger down the shaft, the claw, hands separated).

Lamkin is offering the system in two sizes to align with partner needs. Details include:
- White Tees: Small footprint, two-sided display that fits next to any putting grip coral. It accommodates 12 putter grip options.
- Black Tees: Three-sided island display that also conveniently holds inventory. It accommodates 18 putter grip options and retail SKUs.

“The putter is used more than any club in the bag and finding the right grip is a critical element to building confidence and sinking more putts,” says Bob Lamkin, CEO of Lamkin Grips. “We have the most technologically advanced putter grips in the industry and we needed a system that let consumers experience what makes our products superior, as well as provide our retail partners a unique and fun program to bring more customers through their doors.”

Since August 2019, Lamkin has worked with Golf Galaxy to test the program with the Black Tee display at 16 high traffic locations.

“The innovative Lamkin Putter Grip Fitting System has been extremely well received by our customers,” said Tara Stolarski, Associate Buyer, Golf Equipment at DICK'S Sporting Goods. “The simple interactive nature of the system allows them to quickly and efficiently identify a putter grip that is best suited to their games. We are excited to support Lamkin and committed to rolling out the Black Tee display to all Golf Galaxy locations in 2020.”

Lamkin’s putter grips have built a large and loyal following, with the recent SINK Fit and Deep Etched lines being popular among players of all skill levels. SINK Fit models, including the Pistol, Skinny and Straight share new technologies with Lamkin’s full swing grips that further separate the brand from competitors. This includes patent-pending Genesis Material, a hybrid compound that delivers unparalleled performance, durability and comfort in all conditions, and Fingerprint Technology which uses intricate micro-textures to deliver a more comfortable feeling, high-traction surface that promotes reduced hand tension for control and consistency.

“The best players in the world spend time analyzing and testing different putter grips before putting something into competition,” says Travis Fulton, noted instructor and Lamkin brand ambassador. “Most amateur golfers overlook how the size and make-up of the grip will impact putting performance. When we fit golfers we definitely find that the putter grip not only influences the feel but also the overall arc and impact alignments. More so than any club in the bag, golfers need to be totally comfortable and confident in their putter and getting fit to the right grip is a critical part of the equation.”

Retailers interested in joining Lamkin’s growing base offering putter grip fitting should reach out to their grip distributor for details. With units already in market and significant commitment from large and small retailers the Lamkin Putter Grip Fitting System will be widespread nationwide by February 2020.

Golf Shops at Reynolds Lake Oconee Win Platinum Awards

Two National Honors for Premier Southeast Golf Destination

(GREENSBORO, Ga.) — Home to one of the most elite collections of golf courses in the United States, Reynolds Lake Oconee also boasts a stellar assembly of golf shops. Two of those shops have been named 2020 Platinum Award winners by the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM).

Merchandising programs at The National and The Preserve courses have received the highest honor the AGM presents annually and will be formally recognized at the AGM Retail Conference awards program Jan. 21, 2020 in Orlando, Fla.

“These two awards reflect the dedication and expertise of the golf staff in delivering an exceptional experience both on and off the course,” said Mike Scully, General Manager at Reynolds Lake Oconee. “Coordinating merchandising efforts across six golf shops takes teamwork, creativity, and meticulous planning.”

“To ensure top-notch operation, each professional team and I develop a strategy based on how well the shop is performing and establish goals for the year,” said Caroline Basarab, Director of Retail at Reynolds. “We hold regular focus groups with our Members to obtain feedback and train our retail staff regularly to enhance service levels.”

“With that information in mind, we can make the best retail decisions to offer the right product mix, colors and size runs, and price points that fit our market,” said Basarab.

The AGM received a strong list of high caliber entries for this year’s award, making the competition very close, notes Desane Blaney, Executive Director of the AGM. All entries were judged by an impartial panel and they were graded on new ideas, creativity, adaptability, revenue-generating initiatives and adhering to the contest rules.

Amid Brick and Mortar Chaos, Innovative Golf Retailer Thrives

Custom Club Fitter Continues National Expansion As Demand Grows

(Willowbrook, IL) — In a world where staples like Toys "R" Us and Payless ShoeSource are disappearing from store directories, the outlook for new brick and mortar business ventures seems bleak. More retailers are moving to an e-commerce model, and even more are downsizing or prioritizing to compete in crowded spaces. The golf industry would seemingly fall in line with these company casualties, but one brand is succeeding amongst the chaos - Club Champion, a custom golf club fitting company.

Recognized as the top fitter, builder and retailer of the best brands in golf, Club Champion stands out in a niche market. Their dynamic vision has catapulted them to be ranked as the #1 specialty fitter and #2 fitter overall according to Golf Datatech, the golf industry’s market share monitor. The company’s thorough processes and attention to detail set them apart from the competition.

“We offer a service that every serious golfer can benefit from,” said Nick Sherburne, Club Champion’s founder. “Our business model works because the service works - we can show measurable improvements for our customers, and that translates to happy golfers and a higher demand for what we do.”

Offering premium service and an unrivaled product selection, the company opened 31 stores in the last 12 months. In 2018, Club Champion posted same-store sales growth of 59%; each store conducts an average of 500-1500 fittings per year, with many stores surpassing that.  Their Tour-quality fitting experience is sought after by golfers of every skill level, and their fitting studios service most of the major golf markets in the country.

Unlike traditional retailers that carry inventory and face significant price pressure, Club Champion fits and builds unique, custom clubs for their customers. Operating with a “just in time” inventory system, inventory needs are minimal. Because their product is custom fitted, they don’t compete against web-based retailers on price. As a result, the company is one of the fastest growing retailers in golf with 2018 overall revenue growth up almost 60%. Expanding from just eight locations five years ago, the company currently has 62 retail studios and is planning to open additional stores in 2019.

According to Club Champion CEO Joe Lee, “By 2015, we had proven our new store concept as well as the ability to open multiple locations in a market. It was time to roll out Club Champion nationally. We knew the concept worked and that there was measurable demand, so we’ve been opening new locations at an accelerated pace ever since.”

The typical studio footprint is approximately 3,000 square feet and includes a minimum of two fitting bays equipped with TrackMan launch monitors, a SAM PuttLab, a build shop and features an extensive equipment wall with more choices than any other retail chain. Lee says, “The shaft wall, coupled with our expert fitters, is where a lot of the magic happens.”

Club Champion’s brand agnostic approach has helped them succeed in a market that’s heavily influenced by brand advertisements. Because they focus on the golfer and not the manufacturer, they’re able to give each customer a unique and informative experience that delivers real results on the course. A Golf Digest study found that eight out of nine Club Champion custom-fit golfers lowered their scores by as much as six strokes per round and added an average of 21 yards off the tee.

In 2018, Club Champion brought PGA Tour superstar and three-time Major winner Jordan Spieth on as a brand ambassador. They have also signed endorsement deals with world-renowned golf coaches Hank Haney and Cameron McCormick, and have re-signed legendary instructor David Leadbetter. All four ambassadors recognize the impact of properly fit clubs on any golfer’s game, no matter the skill level.

“There isn't anyone who can’t benefit from club fitting,” said Haney. “People just don't pay enough attention to their equipment. I guess they just think it's all the same, but it's not. If you get the right club for you, it can make a tremendous difference in your golf game.”

It’s not just golf personalities who are impressed by Club Champion; equipment manufacturers also hold back nothing with their praise for the custom fitter. TaylorMade CEO David Abeles commented, “Club Champion truly is one of the most innovative club fitters in the business. They provide a consumer experience that is undeniably helpful for all golfers to play better..” Callaway CEO Chip Brewer confirmed, “Club Champion is a fantastic consumer experience. One of the great, new age golf retailers who understand that fitting is the future.”

Lee believes in the Club Champion method and the results it garners. “Other people sell golf clubs, we sell improvement,” he said. “We not only solve equipment problems, but we show and explain why each particular piece of equipment (shaft, head and grip) works for their unique swing.”
