APOGEE is the Newest Camera-Based Launch Monitor by TruGolf and the First-Ever to Feature a Proprietary Voice Control System
(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) — TruGolf, the nation’s leading virtual golf simulation company, announced today its new launch monitor, APOGEE - the latest camera-based system that accurately measures club and ball data without the use of marked clubs or specialty golf balls. In tandem, Dallas Cowboys Star Ezekiel Elliot, former NFL Wide Receiver Brice Butler, and PGA National Teacher of the Year Mike Malaska have joined the TruGolf team as brand ambassadors.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of APOGEE, given the monumental growth of indoor golf over the last few years,” said TruGolf CEO Chris Jones. “This is an exciting time for the golf simulator market. In addition to launching a product that meets the needs of the golf industry, our diverse group of ambassadors comprised of golf experts like Mike, and Zeke and Brice who are driven by their passion for the game, makes for a compelling testament to APOGEE’s appeal to golf fans of all skill levels.”
The launch of APOGEE continues TruGolf’s long legacy of pioneering innovation within the indoor golf space. APOGEE boasts leading-edge features and software that increases Pace of Play and enhances user experience, making it the most technologically advanced launch monitor available. New features include: Instant Impact, a powerful onboard processor that sends shots instantly for the most realistic gameplay experience, and the APOGEE Voice Assistant, a voice command system that allows users to navigate gameplay within rounds and practice sessions without walking to the touch screen, dramatically accelerating the Pace of Play for indoor golf.
“I’m excited to join TruGolf as an ambassador and support the launch of a revolutionary product that is changing the golf game,” Elliott said. “APOGEE is at the forefront of golf technology and appeals to players of all levels, while also creating new opportunities to enjoy a love for the game, and also work to improve.”
TruGolf has been a pioneer in the golf technology space for more than 30 years. Specializing in golf simulators and virtual golf software, the company recognized the unique growth opportunity of indoor golf as a solution to the problems facing the game. “Whether we are talking about Pace of Play, drought, or public course closures – we know that one of the main strategies to successfully grow the game and retain all these new players is going to happen indoors,” said Chris Jones. Last year, the National Golf Foundation estimates there were over 24 million off-course participants.
Joining the TruGolf Team is 2011 PGA National Teacher of the Year, Mike Malaska. “Golf simulators are a major factor in the future of the golf industry,” Malaska said. “I’m proud to be a part of the TruGolf team, and recognize that APOGEE is the most accurate and easiest Launch Monitor to use. These guys are like the Tesla of golf, with exciting new tech and a great vision for the future of the game. I’m excited to see how many more people are introduced to golf through TruGolf’s commitment to developing the best indoor golf solutions on the market.”
