Knuth Golf’s High Heat Woods Earn More Awards, Rave Media Reviews at PGA Merchandise Show

(BONITA, CA)
– Knuth Golf ‘s 257+ Turf Glider Sole technology won more awards and received numerous rave reviews from the media at the recent PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

Knuth Golf was an exhibitor at the PGA Show’s Demo Day at Orange County National, and from that appearance received a sparkling review by golf writer Gary Van Sickle in the Sports Illustrated Morning Read, in which he selected High Heat’s 257+ Turf Glider sole as the best metal woods at the show.

Said Van Sickle: “With a higher ball flight, increased accuracy and average trampoline values of 266 amateurs will get more distance than major brands which have low trampoline values near or below 200. Now the 257+ Turf Glider Sole is a key part of the new club’s magic that allows the club to glide along the ground, including the rough, a divot or fairway bunker without adversely affecting distance. I am amazed as I hit it out a divot time after time.”

“For the sake of full disclosure, I’ve had at least one High Heat wood or hybrid in my bag for most of the last eight years. My current High Heat favorite is the 257 + 5-wood with Turf Glider Sole, so easy to hit from any lie and practically duff-proof (I do not mean to tempt the golf gods with that description, I’m just telling it like it is) that the only way you’re getting it out of my starting lineup is if you pry it out of my cold, dead hands.”

Tony Leodora of The Traveling Golfer Show named High Heat to his Toy’s Top 10 Products at the PGA Show.

“The best driver and fairway woods and hybrids for the amateur golfer just got better,” said Leodora. “A marriage with Fujikura, the renowned shaft company, has resulted in a head/shaft combination that is especially designed for amateurs. This is added to the 3-Trampoline Technology, the most significant new technology in almost 25 years for amateurs to achieve more distance.”

Also at the PGA Show, the 257+ Turf Glider Sole technology was recognized by the International Network of Golf as the winner of the Product Ingenuity In Golf Clubs-Emerging Companies category of the 28th Annual ING Industry Honors awards program. The Knuth Golf technology was one of 10 awards presented in this annual awards program that recognizes excellence in business achievement in the golf industry. This is a record fourth time that Knuth Golf has won in this category.

The Turf Glider Sole is a novel technology that includes a centerline, contoured bulge near the face of the High Heat 257+ fairway woods and hybrids. It is unlike any other sole technology because it corrects the effect of a golfer’s swing flaw before the clubface strikes the ball. As a result, when a golfer hits behind the ball, the Turf Glider Sole will slide the clubface to the ball instead of digging.

It works similarly on “thin” shots, raising the rear of the head to create more solid contact. Also, unlike clubs with rails on the sole, the Turf Glider does not bounce on hardpan surfaces. The technology works from every type lie – fairway, rough or bunker. Media and teaching pros have called the Turf Glider Sole technology “magical” for amateur golfers.

“We are thrilled and humbled by the continued recognition of our clubs,” said Steve Trattner, who along with former USGA Senior Director Dean Knuth formed the company nine years ago to help amateurs improve their games. “Our new Sole Glider technology falls right in line with rest of our High Heat 257+ line, in that it is designed to help amateur golfers of all levels gain more enjoyment from their golf experience.”
