PING signs John Graham as Brand Ambassador

(PHOENIX) — PING introduced as its newest Brand Ambassador John Graham, putting coach to a growing number of players on the PGA, LPGA and Korn Ferry tours, said President John K. Solheim.

“John is highly sought after by the best players in the world,” Solheim said. “Our engineering team has known him for years and we’ve collaborated some. More recently we got to know him better through his work with PING Pro Cameron Champ, and we’re impressed by the effectiveness of his approach. He thinks differently, and he has the results to show his theories and teaching technique produce measurable improvement on the greens. John’s players get better; simple as that. We look forward to growing our knowledge library with him and collaborating on new ideas to make putting easier not just for pros but for players of all abilities.”

Based in Rochester, N.Y., Graham became well known for his expertise with the AimPoint Golf green-reading system, which helped grow his reputation as an elite-level putting coach. Graham is also co-founder with James Ridyard of the Short Game Secrets brand. He presents at workshops throughout the U.S. and Europe. As a junior-college coach, Graham was named National Coach of the Year three times. Four times he’s been named a Golf Digest Best Teachers in New York State, most recently in 2019.

Cameron Champ put Graham’s coaching to good use in winning this summer’s 3M Open, where for the first time he led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting. “What I enjoy is blending the art with the science of putting and giving players the tools to solve different problems on the greens,” Graham said. “PING approaches putting with the same mindset. Understanding that every golfer is unique is the foundation PING was built on, with their color codes and custom fitting. And they make putters that are some of the winningest in golf history, so my affiliation with PING will allow me bridge coaching with technology that’s going to help my players excel. I look forward to working with PING’s teams on ideas to ensure golfers of all abilities improve this critical facet of the game.”
