George McNeill Wins 2012 PGA Puerto Rico Open for Second Career Victory

(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) – Cleveland Golf/Srixon congratulates staffer George McNeill for his victory over the weekend at the PGA TOUR’S 2012 Puerto Rico Open at Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

McNeill birdied his last three holes Sunday to card a 3-under 69 in the final round and an overall score of 16-under 272, earning $630,000 for his second career victory. Entering the week, McNeill had six career runner-up finishes on the PGA TOUR, with his lone triumph coming at the 2007 Frys.com Open in Las Vegas when he was a rookie.

"Winning is tough at anything,” said McNeill, a 36-year-old Floridian. “It doesn't matter if you’re playing golf, playing tennis, trying to be the best person, smartest person in the class. It's not easy to be the best even if it's only for one week, and that's why it's tough."

McNeill played a Cleveland Golf Launcher Ultralite TL 310 driver (9.5°), Cleveland 588 Forged MB irons (3-PW), Cleveland 588 Forged wedges (54°/ 60°), and a Srixon Z-STAR XV golf ball, while wearing a Srixon glove and carrying a Cleveland Golf bag.
