Imperial Headwear Launches Revolutionary Line of Cooling Products

(BOURBON, MO) - Imperial Headwear launched a revolutionary line of cooling products, powered by Coolcore technology, at the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show last week in Orlando, Florida.

"Imperial's new cooling technology has the potential to change the headwear business," said Laura Robinson, Director of Retail at Pinehurst Resort. "The Pinehurst team saw their demonstration and we were all amazed at how this can be incorporated into headwear designs. Imperial impresses me with their innovation in the accessory category."

Coolcore provides a chemical-free cooling solution that goes beyond traditional moisture management fabrics or evaporative cooling technologies that typically rely on chemicals. Coolcore technology is 100% free of chemicals, polymers, gels, crystals or phase changing materials, ensuring all Coolcore benefits never wash out or degrade.

"This is the next generation of performance fabrics," said Mike Wrightson, General Manager at Imperial Headwear. "Coolcore has unbelievable fabric innovations that not only wick moisture, but also lower the surface temperature significantly. This will be a game changer in golf headwear with strong consumer appeal."

Coolcore fabrics deliver three distinct functions:
• Wicking: To move sweat away from your body.
• Moisture Transportation: To avoid saturation and accelerate drying.
• Regulated Evaporation: For cooling effect.

The result is up to 30% lower surface temperatures, drier garments that do not cling or saturate, healthier chemical-free usage, and zero degradation of the cooling effect over time or washing. The proprietary Coolcore technologies exploit the body's own sweat, or added moisture, to achieve cooling. The sophisticated design means that the evaporation rate is regulated and, as a result, the cooling effect of "evaporative cooling" is significantly higher than in conventional materials.

Coolcore fabrics are the first product worldwide to be awarded the Hohenstein Quality Label "Innovative Technology - Cooling Power". With the award, the scientists at the internationally recognized and independent Hohenstein Institute in Bönnigheim, Germany, have confirmed the superior cooling effect of the textiles.

Exotics Unveils E8 Tour Fairway Woods

Tour inspired versatility and zero tolerances

(Batavia, IL) – There is no margin for error when it comes to Tour-caliber performance. The all-new Tour Edge Exotics E8 Tour adjustable fairway wood delivers an unsurpassed level of excellence. The E8 Tour combines a tour-inspired design, a state-of-the-art manufacturing process, upgraded materials – and all with more loft adjustability options than the competition.

The concept behind the new E8 Tour stemmed from the need of an adjustable fairway wood on Tour. The Exotics Tour presence has continued to grow over the years, and with the addition of the E8 Tour level of adjustability Exotics is positioned to garnish even more attention on Tour in 2015. Featuring loft options from 12 to 15.5 degrees along with 13, 14 and 15-degree options with a more upright lie angle, this level of versatility allows Tour players to dial in the ideal ball flight with the E8 Tour. Add Exotics legendary power and distance, and the E8 Tour fairway wood becomes the ultimate players’ weapon.

The compact and powerful 150cc club head appeals to players’ sensibilities, and in true Exotics fashion encompasses brand new technology. The E8 Tour features a 475 Carpenter U.S. steel cup face that is micro-bonded to the body via a 360-degree robotic laser beam bonding process. This new process utilizing a robotic laser beam ensures the most accurate and miniscule bonding points. Procured under lower temperatures, the edges are more round and the extreme perfection of the laser beam provides zero tolerance. The E8 Tour is the first club marketed in the United States to utilize this bonding process, continuing the Exotics reputation for being at the forefront of club technology.

The smaller clubhead shape also allows the center of gravity to move higher and closer to the face for exceptional trajectory control and low spin ideal for players with higher swing speeds. The Power Grid cell design is similar to the E8 Beta fairway woods, reaching higher into the toe and thinner, allowing engineers to move the center of gravity closer to the face. This upgraded design gives players a more powerful launch off the face with less spin, while providing the desired penetrating ball flight.

Exotics fairways woods are available in the most popular shafts on the market, and that trend continues with the E8 Tour. The next-generation Diamana +Plus Series shafts come standard in the new E8 Tour fairway woods. The Diamana +Plus Series build on the success of its 2011 predecessor. This is one of the latest products in the long-standing Diamana™ brand that's captured more than 100 professional wins globally since the company established its U.S. office in 2004. The new series has multiple bend profiles, features an adaptive balance point system, M.D.I. Technology and the ToughQure resin system. The E8 Tour fairway wood comes standard in the M+ or S+ series, D+ series is available as a custom option.

The E8 Tour features an adjustable sole weight to customize each individuals swing weight preference. The club comes standard with a 9-gram sole weight, but can be changed with the purchase of an optional weight kit. The three-piece weight kit includes a 6-gram, 11-gram, and 14-gram weight, kit-$49.99. Individual weights are available for $19.99.

Comparative club head sizing:
* E8 fairway wood, 185cc
* E8 Beta fairway wood, 175cc
* E8 Tour fairway wood, 150cc

The E8 Tour fairway wood features Tour Edge’s lifetime warranty, 30-day play guarantee, and is projected to be in stores this spring. Suggested retail E8 Tour M+/S+ shafts: $349.99, E8 Tour D+ shaft: $399.99. For more information, call (800) 515-3343 or visit www.touredge.com.

McIlroy is Too Good to Catch in Dubai

Rory McIlroy uses new Nike Vapor Pro driver to power his way to victory

(RELEASE) - Rory McIlroy, the No. 1 golfer in the world, has clinched his first win in 2015 - one step closer in his journey to The Masters. The Nike athlete’s dominant victory came at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on the European Tour, the same place he won his first tournament as a professional in 2009. Having led from day two, his 22-under- par 72-hole total tied the lowest score ever recorded in the history of the tournament, and left his pursuers three shots back.  So far in 2015, McIlroy’s record is nearly perfect, having finished second and first in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, respectively.

“I played very nicely all week and did what I needed to do today to keep my nose in front and be able to win,” said McIlroy.

With the new Nike Vapor Pro driver in his bag, McIlroy led the field in driving distance averaging 317.9 yards. McIlroy was influential in the development of the Vapor Pro driver, which became available in stores on Jan. 30. It blends three key technologies: Nike’s new FlyBeam reinforced Covert Cavity Back design, a re-engineered Compression Channel and FlexLoft 2. All of these are vital to the golf athlete in achieving the ultimate in hitting their window of distance, speed and launch conditions.

McIlroy relied on his new wedge, a Nike Engage Dual Sole 59-degree, to help him get through the rough more consistently.

For impressive accuracy and control, McIlroy also relied upon the Speedlock RZN Core technology found in his Nike RZN Black golf ball.

The innovative Speedlock RZN core, created with an interlocking core design, helps promote better energy transfer between the layers at impact for faster ball speed, longer distance and more stability into the wind.

On the body, McIlroy sported the Nike Lunar Control 3, another product he helped inspire, as well as apparel from Nike Golf’s Performance Collection.
