Golf Advisor Travel & Reviews Moves to GolfPass

(ORLANDO, Fla.)
– Golf Advisor, golf’s go-to website for course reviews and expert travel information since 2014, has completed its transition within the NBC Sports Group digital portfolio to its new online destination within GolfPass.

With the move, users can continue to access all the same Golf Advisor content for free but, now, within a dedicated section on GolfPass, the sport’s most comprehensive digital destination and membership program offering exclusive content and benefits.

“We’re building GolfPass to be the ultimate golf ecosystem where golfers can find everything they need to play more golf and better golf,” said Amanda Norvell, vice president, Direct-to-Consumer Product/Services. “More of our members and visitors now will have access to great Golf Advisor assets, including the largest course directory and ratings system in golf, as well as expert editorial insight about all the best places to play.”

Golfers have come to rely on Golf Advisor’s comprehensive golf course directory, which features information on more than 34,000 golf courses, as well as its industry-leading 1 million-plus golf course ratings and reviews of more than 16,000 golf courses worldwide. Other popular offerings include the Golf Advisor’s vast library of articles and videos created by the website’s seasoned editorial staff, including Brandon Tucker, Jason Deegan and Tim Gavrich. The highly-anticipated Golfers’ Choice lists, which recognize top courses in a variety of categories, will be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 7; and traveling golfers appreciate the selection of customized vacation packages that couple resort accommodations at Troon-affiliated courses in the most popular golf destinations around the world.

As interest in golf and participation soared in 2020, both GolfPass and Golf Advisor enjoyed record years. Golf Advisor’s unique users in 2020 increased nearly 50 percent year over year, with golf course reviews at an all-time high – up 75 percent. GolfPass enrolled a record number of new members in 2020, who joined with existing members to watch more than 10 times more instructional and entertainment video than in 2019. Additionally, GolfPass facilitated more than 2.1 million rounds of golf played by its members in 2020, an increase of 31 percent.

A GolfPass membership is available at GolfPass.com.
