Volvik the Official Golf Ball Partner of Capital Long Drive Classic

– Volvik USA (volvik.com), a rapidly-growing, premium high-performance golf ball company, was the Official Golf Ball Partner of the inaugural Capital Long Drive Classic,  which was played Oct. 24 and will be broadcast nationally on Golf Channel Dec. 17 and 20. The event included a roster of top male and female Long Drive professionals for the first-ever event of its kind, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“We were honored to be the Official Golf Ball Partner of the inaugural Capital Long Drive Classic,” said Don Shin, president of Volvik USA. “In addition to providing the opportunity to view the extraordinary talent of the competitors in a wonderful setting, the Classic helped support a worthy cause.”

Volvik supplied the VIVID XT AMT distance golf balls for the competition in recognition as the Official Golf Ball Partner of the Capital Long Drive Classic, with the company logo and tagline featured during the Golf Channel telecast, as well as on-site Volvik signage and placement on the event website, capitallongdriveclassic.com.

The inaugural event featured top professional men’s and women’s long drive athletes in a unique co-ed exhibition showcasing golf’s racial and gender diversity. Competitors in the first-ever Capital Long Drive Classic were: Shasta Averyhardt, Maurice Allen (Volvik Staffer), Alexis Belton, Tim Burke (Volvik Staffer), Mary Driscol, Chris Hall, Josh Jackson and Cassandra Meyer.

The mission produced a COVID safe and family friendly long drive exhibition. The partnership of Events DC, which presented the Classic, with the nonprofit My Brother’s Birdies included a youth clinic at East Potomac Park Golf Course. The clinic introduced Washington, D.C.-area children from minority and underserved communities to the game.
