KemperSports properties continue to introduce the game to new golfers
(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports announced today that more than 3,500 brand new golfers were introduced to the game of golf during KemperSports’ Player Development Week which took place June 23-29, at all KemperSports facilities around the country. As part of the week-long celebration, golf courses were encouraged to give complimentary golf lessons and tips from their professional staff.
Player Development Week was the cornerstone and celebration of KemperSports’ Player Development Program – a proprietary initiative built to provide tools and best practices to a portfolio of more than 100 public, private and resort golf courses around the country. The program is geared to deliver innovative ways to reach an entire demographic of non-golfers.
“We were excited to be able to share our passion for the game with new golfers,” said KemperSports President Josh Lesnik. “Introducing or reintroducing the sport to more than 3,500 interested participants is a real positive.”
In addition to complimentary lessons, each KemperSports property was tasked with creating fun and engaging activities to entice golfers and non-golfers alike to visit their property. One example of these activities was Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb., which hosted yoga classes on the 18th fairway as well as inflatable “Gary the hippo” target on the driving range.
