Golf Media Network, The A Position Deliver Wider View of the PGA Championship

(Portland, Ore.) – Imagine a golf gathering that includes Lee Trevino, Walter Hagen, renowned instructor (and Oak Hill head professional) Craig Harmon, world speed golf champion Christopher Smith, golf historians Peter Kessler and Bradley Klein, Seve Ballesteros, and other golfing greats. You’ll find them all together—as at a great, golfy cocktail party—in Golf Media Network’s newest “Majors Plus” Emagazine (http://publication.theaposition.com/pga-championship-2013). An evolution of the magazine’s format to a flip book with double-page spreads allows for an even more readable and visually exciting presentation of stories, video, and podcasts from the best journalists in golf.

The PGA Championship edition will, with the help of writer John Torsiello, introduce the many faces of Hagen; teach lessons from Ballesteros’ 1995 Ryder Cup performance at Oak Hill with the assistance of writer and instructor Christopher Smith; tour great golf in the Rochester area, courtesy of travel writer Brian McCallen, and revisit Trevino’s 1968 world-changing win through the words of John Strawn. Other stories highlight the greatest 72nd-hole shots in golf history and the PGA of America’s growth strategies for golf. The Emagazine will be distributed directly via email to 640,000 members of more than 35 state and provincial golf associations in the U.S. and Canada.

Readers of the flipbook will once again have the opportunity to win a trip to Myrtle Beach and a round of golf with Dustin Johnson, Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, or Paula Creamer.
