June Golf Classic Benefitting Healthy Children, Cancer Research Sells Out


WFAN's Golf Correspondent & Television Sports Personality Ann Liguori Will Host Her 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic For Cancer Prevention And Care

(East Hampton, NY) - The Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic on June 6 at Maidstone Club located in East Hampton, NY is already sold out. Proceeds raised will benefit not-for-profits including the American Cancer Society and Healthy Children, Healthy Futures, teaching young people about good nutrition and fitness for over-all good health benefits. Several of Ann's sports buddies including former Yankee's pitcher Tommy John, former Jets Marty Lyons, 4-time Stanley Cup winner Bobby Nystrom and Marty "Mr. Fashion" Hackel of Golf Digest, will join Ann on the links.

Sponsors and major donors for this year's Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic include Clarins USA, Cross Golf Apparel (www.crossgolfapparel.com), Duck Walk Vineyards, Outback Steakhouse, North & West Coast Links, Platinum Maintenance and Taylor-Made Adidas.

This year's dinner honoree is businessman Jim Halpin, CEO of Platinum Maintenance, for his continual commitment to the Ann Liguori Foundation and a variety of charities including The Muscular Dystrophy Association and the National Italian American Foundation.

There will be a live auction, which will include golf trips to Ireland to play some of Ireland and Northern Ireland's championship links courses and opportunities to play some of the top golf courses in the United States.

Four years ago, the Ann Liguori Foundation introduced nutritionist Jill Jayne to Long Island for the first time. Along with conducting entertaining nutrition education assemblies for Middle School students on the East End of Long Island, Jayne helped Southampton Intermediate School incorporate the Healthy Children, Healthy Futures curriculum in their school program which they use every year.
