The 2025 Procore Championship in Napa, California, is set to open the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall with a field that rivals some of the biggest regular-season events.
U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley pegged the Silverado Resort’s North Course as an ideal tune-up ahead of the matches at Bethpage Black, and his team responded. Ten of the 12 American Ryder Cuppers—Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Harris English, Ben Griffin, Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Justin Thomas, and Cameron Young—are in the field this week. Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau are the only U.S. team members not competing.
While most of Europe’s Ryder Cup players are preparing at the BMW PGA Championship in England before heading to Bethpage, Napa has become the proving ground for many Americans looking to sharpen their games.
The Procore Championship also carries significant weight in the FedEx Cup Fall standings. With the PGA Tour tightening its exempt status to the top 100 players (down from 125), every start matters. Players ranked 51–60 at season’s end will also earn entry into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational in 2026.
That’s why big names beyond the Ryder Cuppers are here. Tom Kim, currently 94th in the standings, is aiming to climb, while Max Homa—who sits at 111th—looks to recapture past success after winning this event in 2021 and 2022, back when it was known as the Fortinet Championship.
The Silverado North Course plays as a par-72, stretching 7,138 yards. The purse is set at $6 million, with $1.08 million going to the champion. While the prize money is smaller than the Tour’s signature events, the timing and location—wine country just two weeks before the Ryder Cup—make Napa a can’t-miss stop for some of the game’s best.
