TaylorMade Golf Company Announces New 2019 Golf Bag Lineup
Next Generation of Golf Bags are the Company’s most Technologically-Advanced, Feature-Filled Models to Date
(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – TaylorMade Golf is the industry leader in product innovation and technology, which is no exception when it comes to golf bags. TaylorMade announced today the release of its new 2019 golf bag line, which utilize the company’s popular and proven FlexTech™ technology. Combining ultimate functionality with aesthetically appealing design elements, the 2019 TaylorMade golf bag line utilizes premium materials with increased attention to detail in every aspect of creation, resulting in the company’s most well-rounded, ergonomic golf bags to date.
In 2019, the company has placed continued emphasis on the category that has realized significant growth – nearly tripling its market share – in the last three years. This has been accomplished by utilizing extensive consumer research and an overhauled development process to create golf bags with strength, durability and efficiency from the ground up.
There are two primary features that highlight each of the new 2019 bags: the company’s proven FlexTech base system & an all-new self-adjusting strap system that allows for a stable, comfortable carry. The FlexTech base system is a multi-piece collapsible base that allows for easy deployment with additional space that negates club crowding. The all-new self-adjusting strap system allows golfers to have balanced bag without having to adjust cumbersome straps. Without a back pad the straps are more effective when utilized as a single or double configuration.
FlexTech & FlexTech Lifestyle Stand Bags
Highlighting TaylorMade’s 2019 golf bag line are the FlexTech and FlexTech Lifestyle golf bags, featuring a unique construction that has each main side pockets built into the center of the golf bag to create a single piece construction that allows for more storage without adding weight.
The overall design was a result of market research that showed a significant percentage of people who purchased the previous generation bag also use them in carts in addition to walking during rounds. The bag was designed for more pocket space and features a cart strap passthrough to allow easy access to the oversized apparel pocket through a unique single piece construction.
Further validating the bags at the highest level, TaylorMade Tour staffers Jon Rahm, Beau Hossler & Chez Reavie, among others, will be carrying the FlexTech Stand Bags this week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale.
In addition to the FlexTech Stand Bags, TaylorMade is also introducing the second generation of its popular Lifestyle Stand Bags, designed to appeal to customers seeking a more casual, lifestyle-focused bag with the same performance features as the FlexTech bag. The FlexTech Lifestyle Stand Bags pay tribute to TaylorMade’s legacy by incorporating the classic TaylorMade logo from the original metal driver created in 1979.
Weighing only 4.5 pounds, the FlexTech & FlexTech Lifestyle Stand Bags are each offered in 6 colorway options and have been designed with the following features:
5-way organizational top
Water-resistant, seam-sealed valuables pocket with micro suede lining
Anti-split stand system
Full length dividers to eliminate club crowding
11 pockets
FlexTech colorways: titanium/blood orange,black, charcoal, silver/gray/navy, navy/red/white & blue/white
FlexTech Lifestyle colorways: tweed, gray canvas, plaster, cosmic & checks
MSRP $215
FlexTech Crossover & FlexTech Crossover Lifestyle Stand Bags
Also new to TaylorMade’s 2019 golf bag line are the FlexTech Crossover and FlexTech Crossover Lifestyle Stand Bags. The FlexTech Crossover bag was the company’s best-selling bag in 2018 and aligns with the 14-way top market that has been trending upwards, due to many golfers’ desire to further protect their clubs.
While technically a stand bag, designers straddled the line of a cart & stand bag when designing the Crossover. The new design allows for a cart strap passthrough that makes loading the bag on carts more efficient and more importantly gives the golfer access to the two oversized apparel pockets on the side of the bag that are made possible by the unique design built into the center ball pocket.
The bag features three larger front-facing pockets (including a cooler pocket with a drain port), for easy access storage while strapped onto the cart.
Weighing only 5.5 pounds, the FlexTech Crossover and FlexTech Crossover Lifestyle Stand Bags are offered in 6 and 2 colorways, respectively, and have been designed with the following features:
14-way top
10 pockets
Cart strap passthrough for easy access to all pockets
Large internal insulated cooler pocket
Easily accessible insulated water bottle pocket
Full-length dividers to eliminate club crowding
6 colorways: silver gray/blood orange, navy/red/white, black/blood orange, black, titanium/blue & navy/white
MSRP $235
FlexTech Lite
TaylorMade’s FlexTech Lite is the lightest bag in the Flextech family made for the walker looking for a quality carry bag built to last. The new version of the Flextech Lite is lighter, more comfortable to carry and overall, a more functional design than the prior generation.
Weight was saved in this bag by moving to a single stay construction versus 3 or 4 stays previously used. The main stay that runs along the spine of the bag was modified to ensure it is durable while remaining lightweight.
A dedicated rangefinder pocket/capsule has also been integrated into the side accessory pocket to allow for easy access to their rangefinder before taking the bag off their back. For the most discerning golfer every element of the new FlexTech Lite is designed to provide ultimate comfortable and usability during the hours of carry and miles walked.
Weighing a mere 4.1 pounds, the FlexTech Lite Bag is available in 5 colorways, each designed with the following features:
4-way organizational top
New no-zip rangefinder capsule
Micro-suede lined valuables pocket
Anti-split stand system
Full-length dividers to eliminate club crowding
8 pockets
colorways: blue/gray, black/white, gray/lime, orange/black & navy/blood orange
MSRP $200
LiteTech 3.0 Stand Bag
Rounding out the 2019 TaylorMade Golf bag line is TaylorMade’s newest and lightest bag in the stand bag line – the LiteTech 3.0 Stand Bag.
Weighing in at just 3 pounds, LiteTech 3.0 is TaylorMade’s introduction into the ultra-lite category that provides the market a full sized, quality golf bag offering. LiteTech 3.0 utilizes bag body materials three times lighter than the FlexTech Lite and an ultra-lightweight and durable stand system that features carbon fiber legs and light weight collapsible base system.
While maintaining a durable and high-strength construction, the LiteTech 3.0 Stand Bag offers optimum club storage with a spacious 4-way top that has three grab handles. Not sacrificing storage within the bag body for weight, the bag has six pockets that include a large apparel pocket that can easily store a rain suit.
The LiteTech 3.0 features a self-adjusting strap system that is designed for a comfortable carry.
LiteTech 3.0 Features:
Ultra-lightweight design
5-way top

Full-length club dividers
Full-size side pockets
All-new self-adjusting strap system
5 colorways: blue/gray, black/white, gray/green, orange/black & navy/blood orange

Zero Friction Receives ING Industry Honor for Its Popular Line of Supertubes
(OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL) – Zero Friction Golf Products, widely known for its colorful line of one-size compression fit gloves and Spectra distance golf balls, has once again been recognized by peers in the golf industry. Zero Friction won an ING Industry Honor award in the Product Ingenuity - Miscellaneous Products category for its growing line of Supertubes.
The ING Industry Honors program recognized outstanding achievement in the golf business on Thursday as part of the PGA Merchandise Show. The non-profit, media-based networking organization International Network of Golf conducts the awards program. This was the 25th Anniversary of the ING Industry Honors.
Nominees in 12 categories are submitted throughout the year from anyone in the golf industry. Sub-committees that include people with expertise in specific categories then trim the entries to the top three in each category. ING members then vote electronically to determine the winners, who are announced and recognized at the Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference each January.
“When we released the Supertube last year, we forecasted sales at 10,000 units. Within a few months, we had sold 50,000 units. It was beyond my wildest dreams that this product would be such a big hit among consumers,” said John Iacono, President and Founder of Zero Friction. “And now, we are receiving an Industry Honor award from our peers. I am honored and humbled at the same time.”
Zero Friction Spectra Supertubes include a golfer’s favorite accessories in one convenient tube: one men’s performance universal compression fit glove, 3 Spectra matte finish golf balls and 10 ZFT Maxx 2 ¾” 3-prong tees. Supertubes are available in six cool neon colors (neon lime, neon red, neon orange, neon fuchsia, neon white and neon yellow) as well as licensed team emblems featuring NFL, MLB, NHL and the top 20 collegiate teams.
Last week, Zero Friction announced that the popular Supertube line had expanded to include the new Super Sleeve, which has seven matte finished distance golf balls in one clear tube and can be custom logoed for tournaments and events.
This is Zero Friction’s second ING Industry Honor award. The company received a 2016 Industry Honor Product Ingenuity award for the DistancePro GPS glove at the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show.

Lynx Golf Offers First Look at Prowler VT Driver with Switch-Face Technology
Interchangeable Faces Provide True Loft Adjustability
(Weybridge, Surrey, UK) – Lynx Golf – the iconic equipment brand trusted by multiple major championship winners over its storied history – introduces the Prowler VT Driver with Switch-Face Technology, a revolutionary new design concept that uses interchangeable faces to provide golfers the ability to adjust the true loft of their club.
The result of nearly a decade of trials and testing, Prowler VT brings a new level of customization to the high-performance driver category. Other adjustable drivers change loft by rotating the clubhead around the hosel, resulting in the face sitting open or closed relative to the target. Switch Face Technology allows golfers to change the true loft of the hitting surface while keeping the clubhead square to the ball.
Prowler VT is designed with an entirely removeable face that is secured to the clubhead via attachment screws. At launch, the company will offer faces in five lofts (8, 9, 10, 11 and 12) with varying open and closed settings (2- degrees closed, 1-degree closed, square, 1-degree open, 2-degrees open). This will give golfers 25 different loft and face angle options initially, with more planned to follow.
“Lynx has always been a brand that pushed the boundaries of equipment design in order to help players of all skill levels improve,” says Steve Elford, CEO and co-owner of Lynx Golf. “Switch-Face Technology represents the latest in a long line of innovations that have changed the world of golf clubs for the better.”
Additional benefits of the Prowler VT include an increased MOI, the result of moving weight once occupied by an adjustable hosel to the perimeter of the driver head via the face’s attachment screws. Greater ball speed and forgiveness will be created by the Effective Energy Transfer system, which will be found inside each face, which equally disperses the ball’s impact force throughout the hitting surface.
The Lynx Prowler VT with Switch-Face Technology will be sold with a free face of the customer’s choice, with individual faces available separately. Pre-orders are being taken now, and will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Prowler VT with Switch-Face Technology comes in either an Orange/Black or White/Black colourways. Each driver comes stock with UST Mamiya Recoil shaft and a Golf Pride MCC Plus4 grip. Additional shaft and grip options are available for a charge.
Founded in the 1970’s by John Riley Sr. and Carl Ross, Lynx Golf quickly established a large and loyal following among the game’s best players. This included legendary ambassadors who trusted the brand to help them capture victories at the 1992 Masters and 1994 US Open, among other wins.
More recently, in the UK in 2011 Lynx was licensed to Charles Claire LLP, based in Weybridge, Surrey, owned by husband and wife Elford and Zinser. In 2013, Charles Claire fully acquired the Lynx marque for the UK and Europe, and just over a year ago it acquired the Global Lynx Trademark Portfolio from Dick’s Sporting Goods in the USA.
Under the new UK ownership, Lynx Golf has become one of the great success stories in the golf industry, recording double-digit annual sales increases every year since 2013. In 2018, sales were up 50% year-over-year and the company now has more than 1000 live retail accounts in 15 European countries.
Its renowned product lines include everything from TOUR-caliber clubs, such as the Prowler VT irons, to products geared for mid-to-high handicappers. At the professional level, the brand continues to draw talent, as its ambassadors include the legendary Dame Laura Davies and former European Tour standout, and current Sky Sports TV presenter, Nick Dougherty, as well as Lydia Hall, Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson.

TaylorMade Introduces Spider X Putters
Pushing the Limits of Seamless Design, 10th Anniversary Spider Putter Features Optically Engineered True Path Alignment Sightline
(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – A decade after introducing the putter that shifted the paradigm of putter creation toward high-MOI design mallets and has since become the most popular putter in company history, TaylorMade Golf Company announced today the 10th generation of its globally transcendent Spider putters with the introduction of Spider X. Continuing the longstanding heritage of Spider performance in a completely re-designed frame, Spider X putters utilize a new dedicated weighting system and optically engineered sightline (OES) featuring TaylorMade’s new True Path alignment system.
“When we first introduced the original Spider putter in 2008, we never could have anticipated the global phenomenon it has become. With widespread adoption on tours around the world, not only has it become one of the company’s top-selling putters of all time, it has truly shifted the paradigm of putter design toward high-MOI mallets. I’m proud to have played a role in the evolution of Spider and what it has become today.” -Bill Price, Senior Director, Product Creation, Putters & Wedges
The X Philosophy – True Path Alignment System
The genesis of the Spider X philosophy lies in research derived from more than ten thousand putts from a distance of twelve feet, with results illustrating that golfers strike the ball toward the toe of the putter 66% of the time – this is the result of a parallax effect. As a result, engineers strove to re-engineer the mass properties of the putter head while simultaneously introducing a new alignment system – True Path – for easier alignment enhanced focus, leading to more putts struck on the center of the face and thus eliminating the parallax effect.
The X Design
The new Spider X features an optically engineered vision system designed for improved path, clearer vision and enhanced visual perception through color sensitivity.
The design of the Spider X features a more streamlined design than both the Spider Tour and Spider Mini putters that came before it. The more stable head shape provides more weight on the outside of the frame (36% on both perimeters v. 30%). The head design of the Spider X is more stable than ever, with a deeper center of gravity (37mm), which is three times deeper than a traditional blade putter.
For the first time in 10 years, the new frame of the Spider X incorporates a modern, seamless and dedicated weight design featuring three new weights: aluminum (2 grams), steel (6 grams) and tungsten (12 grams) to allow for optimized weight preference.
Additionally, the Spider X features a composite core weighing a mere 15 grams. The putter’s new head design was created using multi-material construction, delivering a slightly smaller head shape compared to the Spider Tour. Engineers reduced the size of the Spider X by 5% but were able to maintain the same MOI as Spider Tour within its new construction.
Re-Engineered Pure Roll Insert
Spider X putters incorporate a new, thicker 5mm Pure Roll white surlyn insert for improved sound, feel and roll characteristics. The 12-groove Pure Roll insert promotes forward spin for smoother roll, greater accuracy and better distance control.
The composition and construction of the new Pure Roll insert is specially engineered to bring the grooves into direct and active contact with the ball during impact, even on short putts. The grooves in the face — just .5mm deep — also serve in part to strategically soften the insert’s structure. Together, these factors are designed to make the insert deform at impact, putting the grooves into direct contact with the cover of the ball.
Pure Roll inserts are played on the PGA TOUR by TaylorMade staffers Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, among many others.
Specifications, Pricing & Availability
Available at retail on February 15 at an MSRP of $349.99 USD, Spider X putters will be offered in two colorways with both right and left-hand options: copper & white or navy & white. The copper & white model will be available in a short slant or single bend hosel option, while the navy & white model will be available exclusively in a short slant offering. Each is available in 33”, 34” & 35” lengths and comes equipped with SuperStroke’s Pistol GTR 1.0 grip.

PGA Merchandise Show Full of Highlights for BIG MAX
(RELEASE) - Europe’s #1 push cart and waterproof golf bag brand BIG MAX has had a 2019 PGA Merchandise show full of highlights, with the world’s golf industry professionals and media blown away by the 2019 line up of products that were showcased on the brand new BIG MAX booth.
All the latest products from BIG MAX were on show in Orlando, including the 2018 star of the show the BLADE IP. Despite being it’s second year on the booth, the Blade IP stunned visitors with its Fold Flat mechanism that leaves it less than 5 inches deep when folded. While the Blade IP got many admiring looks, the stand out BIG MAX products for 2019 were its line of waterproof Aqua, and water-resistant Dri Lite, golf bags.
In line for special praise on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive was the Aqua Sport 2, that was highlighted as one of its 3 quality golf bags, a real accomplishment considering the number of competitor brands on show. Golf.com went one further and identified the whole Aqua line as one of only four products that caught the eye at Demo day, as well as highlighting the line in it’s Best of the PGA Merchandise Show feature.
From a business perspective the show brought huge success as BIG MAX looks to expand its global reach. BIG MAX owner Thomas Reiter feels that although the dynamics of the show have changed over recent years, it is still presents important business opportunities for the brand, as he explains, “The show is a fantastic opportunity to market our products to a number of different audiences. The PR we are able to create is fantastic as there are so many journalists from all around the world in the same place at the same time. Plus we can show our new lines to our existing distributors, and we can put the brand in the shop window for distributors in new markets. The bonus was that we made quite a few orders as well!”
With new distributor deals for territories across the globe in the pipeline plus fantastic P.R. for the new lines the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show was a great success for BIG MAX. There was even time for a contest between Austria, the U.S. and the U.K. that saw representatives of each country go head to head in the BIG MAX Blade IP Challenge. Check out the results and share in one of the many highlights of the show for BIG MAX.

DeChambeau Dominates in Dubai to Take Bridgestone’s Hot Streak Global
Tour Star Bryson DeChambeau Wins His First-Ever European Tour Title Using Bridgestone’s TOUR B X Golf Balls
(COVINGTON, GA) – Bridgestone Golf Tour star Bryson DeChambeau continued his and the brand’s winning ways with a convincing 7-shot victory at the PGA European Tour’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic this weekend. The win is DeChambeau’s first ever title abroad and the 7th professional victory of his career. DeChambeau’s victory in Dubai complements a run of 7 wins on the PGA TOUR and 1 on the LPGA Tour over the last 5 months for Bridgestone.
Using Bridgestone Golf’s TOUR B X balls, ‘the golf scientist’ blew away the field in Dubai with prodigious driving and pinpoint approach shots throughout the week, on his way to finishing a record 24-under par for the tournament. Starting the final round with a 1-shot lead, DeChambeau once again proved he’s one of the best closers in the game - firing an 8-under par 64 that included 7 birdies and an eagle to finish with the largest margin of victory in the event’s history.
“We are excited for Bryson to get his first-ever professional international win this weekend and his 4th worldwide victory in the last 7 months,” said Dan Murphy, President & CEO of Bridgestone Golf. “What the Bridgestone brand is experiencing at the Tour level right now is almost surreal. When you add this Tour success to the incredible reception our brand received this past week at the PGA Merchandise Show, 2019 is shaping up to be a special year for Bridgestone Golf.”
DeChambeau switched to the TOUR B X in late 2017 after extensive experimentation revealed a significant impact on his driving, iron play, short game and putting. He also wears Bridgestone’s new TOUR B FIT Glove featuring high-end Cabretta leather with FIT technology to ensure a soft feel, consistent grip and excellent durability.
The TOUR B golf ball series is a result of Bridgestone’s continued commitment to providing premium tee-to-green performance to players of varying swing types. Bridgestone owns over 800 golf ball patents and fully leverages the company’s heritage of excellence in polymer science worldwide to design the industry’s most cutting-edge golf balls.

Traveling Golfer Television Show Wins Outstanding Achievement Award
(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) – The Traveling Golfer television show – hosted by Tony Leodora, with producer Jamie McWilliams and associate producer Eddie Caiazzo – once again has been recognized for television excellence. The show received an Outstanding Achievement Award, presented by the International Network of Golf (ING) at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. This follows three consecutive years of being named the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America.
Wednesday, in a packed ING meeting room at the PGA Show, the Traveling Golfer show received the award from among a record number of entries in the highly competitive category. In only its fifth year on-air, the Traveling Golfer show prevailed after submitting the show featuring The Abaco Club in the Bahamas.
"We had a spectacular location, with a great story to tell about a renovated Pete Dye-designed golf course," explained Leodora, who accepted the award on behalf of the entire Traveling Golfer team. "The resort is in a lesser-known and more relaxed area of the Bahamas. The key was to portray that laid-back lifestyle."
While The Abaco Club show was the one submitted to the panel of judges for this year's award, Leodora is quick to point out that any number of shows from 2018 could have been judged as winners.
"We did shows from places like Florida’s First Coast of Golf, St. Michael’s on the Chesapeake Bay, Sebring (Fla.), the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Myrtle Beach." said Leodora. "The variety of host venues is a key contributor to the success of the show."
The Traveling Golfer show runs monthly on the Traveling Golfer network of websites ... including The Golf Director Network (see full list of sites on travelinggolfervideo.com). It also airs each month as part of the RiverTalk television show in Myrtle Beach on HTC Ch. 4.
The main television exposure for the Traveling Golfer comes from its scheduled weekly feature show on NBC Sports and NBC Sports + throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. NBC Sports airings are 10:30 a.m. Sundays, 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and 11 a.m. Thursdays. NBC Sports + airs the show at 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.
As part of every Traveling Golfer show there is the additional feature, "Tech Talk", hosted by Tour Edge Golf experts, such as President Dave Glod. With years of experience as a club maker, Glod presents an inside look at the research and development of high-quality golf equipment.
Responding to golfers' never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer in February of 2013 so he could take viewers on video trips to some of the most exciting golf locations.
The Traveling Golfer is a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 18 years of experience in televised golf. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. The old shows are archived for continued viewing on home website, www.travelinggolfervideo.com.

Salish Cliffs Golf Club, Squaxin Island Tribe Join NAgolfcourses.com
Brand Initiative Promotes Native American Golf & Culture Travel Experiences
(RELEASE) - NAGolfCourses.com announced that Salish Cliffs Golf Club – an amenity of Little Creek Casino Resort, tribally owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe – joined the Native American Golf & Culture Travel brand membership program and its proprietary website, www.nagolfcourses.com.
Native American courses are most often pristine, with no surrounding development. As the Creator intended. There are approximately 55 Native American courses located throughout the United States, with several clusters of proximate venues. They reflect tribal history and traditions. Cultural assets and experiences include tribal art, pow wows, history, food, tours, and more. The golf is superb, as are the affiliated hotels, resorts, casinos and cultural immersion. However, they’ve never been branded collectively.
The Squaxin Island Tribe celebrates its heritage and promotes the well-being of its people and enterprises whenever possible; in ways that respect tradition while enhancing its businesses. NAgolfcourses.com is ideally aligned to support this strategy, and the brand and website are synergistic assets that will benefit the tribe, casino resort, and golf club.
Located in Western Washington near South Puget Sound, Salish Cliffs is an 18-hole course designed by Gene Bates that has garnered national, state and niche acclaim (“Best Casino Course”, “Top 100 Resort Course”, and “Best in Washington”, to name a few). With no surrounding development, the championship layout sprawls through a breathtaking Pacific Northwest setting amid the Kamilche Valley. A pair of towering, carved and painted totems frame the wood, glass and stone golf clubhouse, where the popular restaurant and well-appointed pro shop welcome visitors.
The resort hotel is adorned by an assortment of Native American influenced art that is as stunning as it is evocative. A totem, giant wooden wheel carving, and metal sculpture with salmon spawning are some items. Speaking of salmon, Salish Cliffs was the first course to earn Salmon-Safe Certification in North America, due to its eco-sensitive practices, in line with the tribe’s reverence for land, water, and wildlife. The Museum Library and Research Center hosts a wealth of information about tribal customs, history, architecture, artifacts, and legends.
Beyond golf, Little Creek Casino Resort features a full-service spa named Seven Inlets, alluding to South Puget Sound inlets used by the people from time immemorial. Other amenities include retail and coffee shops, cigar and wine bar, several restaurants, and live entertainment shows. A variety of hotel room types are available, and the casino provides non-smoking and smoking sections, table games, a poker room, and slot machines.
For more about stay, play, and culture packages at Salish Cliffs / Little Creek Casino Resort, or other Native American golf courses and properties, enter your request at www.nagolfcourses.com via the message feature.

Boot Ranch Reports Record Property Sales in 2018
Texas Hill Country Community Closes $48 Million in Sales
(FREDERICKSBURG, Texas) – Real estate closings at Boot Ranch surged in 2018 as a result of new homesite releases in Nordenhill, the northern half of the 2,080-acre community, and completion of new Sunday Houses and Village Homes.
The exclusive private club community in the Texas Hill Country reported 67 closings in 2018 valued at $47.7 million, a unit-volume increase of 26% over the previous year. Dollar volume was up 44% year over year, thanks in part to the sale of six Village Home condominium residences, and two new Sunday Houses whose ownership is shared by eight families each.
Developer sales volume on 49 properties exceeded $29.8 million, with a mix of land sales and completed residences. Eighteen resale transactions by Boot Ranch Realty accounted for more than $17.8 million. All property purchases include a multi-generational Club membership.
Current property offerings include:
- Home sites from one-half acre to 18 acres, priced from $250,000 to $2.5 million. The majority of homesite inventory is in Nordenhill, and includes some of the community’s most dramatic Hill Country views.
- Sunday Houses—fully furnished, shared-ownership vacation homes—with new shares starting at $350,000.
- Village Home condominium residences priced from $1,295,000 to over $2 million.
- Summer Homes ranging from 3 to 7 bedrooms and located around the Putting Park, starting at $1,845,000.
- House-Lot Packages from preferred builders that start at about $1.3 million.
Terra Verde Group and Wheelock Street Capital acquired the 2,050-acre community in mid-2015 and immediately set a course for expanding the real estate mix and enhancing amenities that appeal to families.
The developer has since invested more than $6 million in amenities. Golf course architect Hal Sutton directed a $2 million renovation of greens and bunkers to his original 2006 design. The one-acre Putting park, the largest in Texas, was created along with an adjacent 3-acre event lawn and play field. A nearly 2-mile hike-and-bike trail was completed, running from the Clubhouse Village to the spring-fed Longhorn Lake. The first phase of the new Lake Club opened with a covered pavilion, jumping platforms, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, fishing, a swim beach and two amazing treehouses connected by a swinging bridge.
In 2019, Boot Ranch will open a general store and mail center in the restored 19th-century Metzger House as well as a new fitness center adjacent to the Ranch Club pool complex.
Boot Ranch is located five miles north of historic Fredericksburg, Texas. For more information visit www.BootRanch.com or call (830) 997-6200.

“I am very happy to announce that I will be carrying the Tour Edge bag and that I am adding their logo for the 2019 season," said Lehman. “I was very attracted to the fact that this is a U.S. owned and operated company and that they build their clubs in the United States. I am proud to join the Tour Edge team in a bigger way for 2019.”
Lehman served as an Exotics CBX hybrid staff player in 2018. He played Tour Edge Exotics CBX hybrids all year en route to a PGA Tour Champions victory and an 18th place ranking in the Charles Schwab Cup.
This year, Lehman will be wearing a Tour Edge Exotics logo and carrying a Tour Edge bag for the first time and will also expand his club usage to other categories with Tour Edge Exotics clubs.
“I had great success all year long with the Exotics CBX hybrid and fairway woods,” said Lehman. “I’ve tested everything out there and I found Exotics to be the best for my game. I look forward to testing other Exotics clubs as well moving forward.”
Lehman finished 19th in the final Charles Schwab Cup points and money standings in 2018 while playing an 18 degree with a HZRDUS Black 105 shaft and a 15-degree Exotics CBX fairway wood.
Lehman earned nine Top 10’s including a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish for a grand total of $1,012,437 in prize money earned in 2018. Lehman won the Principal Charity Classic June 10th for his 11th career win on the PGA Tour Champions.

The players have been very thankful for the service we are providing them and it has led to some great relationships and great feedback for me on club design. Feedback from guys like Tom Lehman and Scott McCarron led to our new Exotics CBX 119 line that we are launching at the PGA Show so this has been a very important direction we are taking as a company.”

Golf Pride ALIGN Technology Now Available in Rubber, Hybrid and Cord
Selection comes with addition of the Z-Grip ALIGN Grip
(PINEHURST, NC) - Golf Pride a division of power management company Eaton and an industry leader in grip innovation, will offer the brand’s Z-Grip with its popular ALIGN Technology in 2019.
According to a recent survey, ALIGN Technology is now used by 74 TOUR players. This technology was first introduced in Golf Pride brand’s MCC and MCC Plus4 hybrid grips and is also available in a Tour Velvet grip (all rubber) option. With the addition of a full cord grip to complement the existing options, Golf Pride will now offer ALIGN Technology in a full range of feel preferences.
The innovative ALIGN Technology activates upon installation with a dedicated raised ridge on the back of the grip allowing for consistent hand placement and an enhanced clubface awareness. ALIGN Technology also features a unique micro-diamond texture and firmer material compared to the surrounding grip area to amplify its pronounced feel. A flex channel separates the ALIGN Technology ridge from the grip body to maximize elevation lift and lock the grip into the fingers, while conforming to the rules of golf.
The Z-Grip is designed to deliver the highest level of shot feedback and all-weather control in the market today. Constructed with Golf Pride’s firmest material and deep “Z” grip texture, the grip has quickly grown into the fastest growing full cord model on TOUR and in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The grip is typically preferred by serious players with mid-to low-level handicaps, who appreciate the superior feedback of a firmer durometer cord grip.
Z-Grip ALIGN grips will hit retail on March 1, 2019 for $11.49 per standard size and $11.99 for midsize grip. For more information on Z-Grip ALIGN Technology and the entire 2019 Golf Pride product offering, visit www.golfpride.com.

Titleist Introduces New Pro V1 and Pro V1x Golf Balls – Engineered for More Speed
2019 Models Provide Improved Tee-To-Green Performance with New High Optic Yellow Color Option
(FAIRHAVEN, Mass) – Faster from core to cover, the new Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls have been designed to leave the clubface with more ball speed and lower long game spin for more distance, while providing the best short game control to help golfers shoot lower scores.
The advancements of 2019 Pro V1 and Pro V1x, now available in golf shops worldwide, underscore the Titleist R&D and Operations teams’ relentless mission to continuously improve the best performing, most consistent golf balls in the game.
“When we set out to develop the 2019 models, we found that golfers at every level are extraordinarily satisfied with the performance of their Pro V1 or Pro V1x. At the same time, golfers keep telling us they would still like more distance – as long as they don’t have to give anything else up,” said Michael Mahoney, Vice President, Golf Ball Marketing. “Through the prototyping process, our chemists and engineers discovered a way to cast an even thinner urethane cover, and therefore increase the percentage of speed-enhancing materials in the overall construction. Pro V1 and Pro V1x are now even faster, as a result, all while maintaining the scoring performance and feel characteristics that golfers demand from these golf balls.”
2019 PRO V1 & PRO V1x TECHNOLOGY: Innovations in Titleist’s industry-leading multi-component technology and precision manufacturing process have combined to deliver the most advanced Pro V1 and Pro V1x models yet – available for the first time in both white and high optic yellow:
• 17% thinner cast Urethane Elastomer cover system delivers more ball speed. The advancement of Titleist’s thermoset urethane casting technology has allowed our engineers to cast a thinner layer of the proprietary cover formulation, developed exclusively for Pro V1 and Pro V1x, while retaining its trusted Drop-and-Stop greenside control and soft feel.
• Faster ionomeric casing layer increases ball speed and lowers long game spin. Beneath the thinner cover, the speed enhancing casing layer has thickened by 14% on Pro V1 and 11% on Pro V1x, creating higher ball speeds with lower driver and long game spin.
• New 2.0 ZG Process Cores are formulated for more distance. The outermost portions of the solid core Pro V1 and dual core Pro V1x have increased in stiffness while maintaining their soft centers, creating faster engines with higher ball speed and lower long game spin.
INTRODUCING PRO V1 AND PRO V1x YELLOW: The improved performance of 2019 Pro V1 and Pro V1x will also have a new preference option: High optic yellow. Following a tour seeding and validation period in early 2019, the new high visibility color option will be available in golf shops beginning March 15.
“As the demand for yellow Pro V1 and Pro V1x started to grow, our material scientists got to work on what we knew would be a significant R&D undertaking,” Mahoney said. “The performance and durability characteristics of our cast urethane are the best in the industry. It’s because we formulate and manufacture the cover ourselves that we are able to control the material with such precision and consistency. While it may seem pretty straightforward, recreating those properties in yellow required a new and complex chemistry with considerable iteration until we got it just right.”
CHOOSING BETWEEN PRO V1 AND PRO V1x: When it comes to choosing between the total performance of Pro V1 and Pro V1x, golfers will notice similar differences in flight, feel and spin as the prior generation models. Both Pro V1 and Pro V1x deliver increased ball speed and lower long game spin for maximum distance, consistent flight, Drop-and-Stop™ short game control and long-lasting durability. Pro V1 provides optimal flight and spin for most golfers, flying lower than Pro V1x with a penetrating trajectory, with very soft feel. Pro V1x flies higher, spins more on iron shots and has a slightly firmer feel.
PRECISION MANUFACTURING: The continued investment in advanced technology and quality control at Titleist Ball Plants 3 and 4 – where every Pro V1 and Pro V1x are manufactured by Titleist associates to the industry’s highest performance and quality specifications – ensures that every new generation of Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the best performing and most consistent models ever. Consistency from ball to ball, and dozen to dozen, a founding principal of the Titleist golf ball business, is critical to allowing golfers to consistently execute the same types of shots, round after round.
PLAYER VALIDATION: The introduction of new Pro V1 and Pro V1x in November 2018 across the worldwide tours resulted in immediate validation and success. Playing new Pro V1 for the first time in competition, Charles Howell III won the RSM Classic in a sudden-death playoff for his first PGA Tour victory in 11 years. Howell, who made the switch from 2017 Pro V1x, shot a final-nine 31 that included birdies on three of his final four holes to make the playoff.
“The 2019 Pro V1 for me is a home run,” Howell said. “I’m getting all the ball speed I had with the prior generation Pro V1x and more. Plus, the new Pro V1 feels softer to me around the green, which I prefer. Ball speed off the driver is a pretty hard and fast measurable whereas touch and feel around the green is player dependent. I go through a fairly rigorous testing process when it comes to new equipment, but it did not take long for me to put this ball into play seeing it gives me the best of both worlds.”
New Pro V1 and Pro V1x players have combined for six victories across five tours since the tour seeding and validation process began, including a comeback victory by Cameron Smith (Pro V1x) at the Australian PGA Championship. Additionally, Patton Kizzire (Pro V1x) and Brian Harman (Pro V1) teamed up to win the two-man QBE Shootout playing 2019 models for the first time.
To date, more than 200 players worldwide have put new Pro V1 and Pro V1x in play – including Bubba Watson (Pro V1x), Tyrrell Hatton (Pro V1x), Jimmy Walker (Pro V1), Billy Horschel (Pro V1x), Matt Wallace (Pro V1), Charley Hoffman (Pro V1), Ian Poulter (Pro V1x), Russell Henley (Pro V1x), Matthew Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x), Lucas Bjerregaard (Pro V1), Byeong Hun An (Pro V1x), Joost Luiten (Pro V1), Jazz Janewattananond (Pro V1), Ross Fisher (Pro V1x), Danny Lee (Pro V1x) and Thongchai Jaidee (Pro V1x) – as the tour seeding and validation process continues around the world.
PRO V1 TECHNOLOGY: 2019 Pro V1 is a three-piece, multi-component technology with a thinner cast Urethane Elastomer cover system, faster ionomeric casing layer, new 2.0 ZG Process Core and spherically-tiled 352 tetrahedral dimple design.
PRO V1x TECHNOLOGY: Pro V1x is a four-piece, multi-component technology with a thinner cast Urethane Elastomer cover system, faster ionomeric casing layer, new 2.0 ZG process dual core and spherically-tiled 328 tetrahedral dimple design.
AVAILABILITY: The new 2019 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls will be available in golf shops beginning Jan. 23, 2019, with the high optic yellow models available March 15. $47.99 MAP.

Wilson Golf Unveils New Staff Model Irons
Wilson Advisory Staff Member Brendan Steele Collaborates with Wilson LABS on Next Generation of Staff Model Blades
(CHICAGO) – Wilson has officially announced the modernization of a timeless classic with the release of the all-new Wilson Staff Model irons. The company has a rich history of forged “blade” irons, many of which have been played by game’s greats. The new generation of Staff Model irons are an appropriate continuation of the brand’s most cherished product lines.
The Staff Model irons utilize a shape similar to that of FG Tour 100, while retaining Fluid Feel Hosel construction, which helps to move weight and enhance feel. This new Blade also features a milled diamond pattern which frames the score lines. Additionally, a milled face provides players with improved control and feel. The forged 8620 carbon steel is combined with a high polish mirror finish to give the blades a premium finish. For optimum feel, the irons also feature a bore through fluid feel design.
After racking up two PGA Tour victories with the FG Tour 100 irons, Brendan Steele went back to the drawing board and collaborated with the Wilson LABS team to assist in the development of the new Staff Model irons. Brendan challenged the team at Wilson to create a more modern aesthetic, without sacrificing performance. Steele felt it was crucial to keep the execution consistent and was eager to incorporate his feedback on design, specifically maintaining a thinner top line at address. After two years of development, the new Staff Model blades were finally brought to life.
Steele’s hands on relationship with the brand has been critical to the development of new Wilson golf products. The two sides have worked very well together over the past few years, which made it a no brainer for Steele to officially extend his longstanding relationship with the brand for three more years, through 2021.
“To be able to genuinely provide my insight on the next generation on FG Tour 100 irons was an experience I’ll never forget,” said Steele. “By design, we crafted the new Staff Model irons to have a similar look as the FG Tour 100, which was critical as I continue to evaluate changes to my equipment.”
The performance of the new irons speaks for itself. Gary Woodland was the first to debut the prototype irons and has seen early success. In his first event at the QBE Shootout in the Bahamas, Woodland made a hole-in-one on a 202 yard Par 3. Just three weeks later, at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui, Woodland led the field in Greens in Regulation, with an impressive 87.5% for the week using the Staff Model irons.
“Through precise performance and visually pleasing aesthetics, the Staff Model irons combine the look and feel demanded by today’s players,” said Jon Pergande, Global Innovation Manager at Wilson Golf. “Brendan’s influence on these irons was impactful and with the phenomenal expertise of the Wilson LABS team, we knew these irons were going to be an extremely polished product.”
