Men's Collection returns to prep; Ladies' Collection leans to upscale resort feel
(SEATTLE) - Cutter & Buck announced this week the release of its Spring 2012 golf line for men and women. The Men's Collection represents a return to prep but with an edge, while the Ladies' Collection displays an upscale resort feel with some trendy retro details.
Men's Collection
Cutter & Buck pays homage to the prep sport of golf with its upcoming line of active apparel for men. The Spring 2012 line presents an upbeat and refreshing approach to golf apparel while weaving in vintage golf elements to its design. The new line includes playful design aesthetics such as bright argyle cardigans, simply patterned knits and plaid slacks that are reminiscent of the bygone years.
Cutter & Buck continues its commitment to quality and performance in the active portion of the collection. While the seams are angled and the color blocking is understated, the Spring 2012 line also shows an expanded offering of tipped collars. Styles are ventilated to allow more climate control, making them performance driven and tasteful.
The Elk Point Polo takes a very classic silhouette to an unexpected place. As an added surprise upon unbuttoning the placket, a pop of color is revealed. This polo also boasts contrast piping at the armhole, aerated mesh at the under arm to allow for ventilation, and a bit of tipped ribbing set into a self collar at the back neck.
The "Gentleman's Tech" portion of Cutter & Buck's collection is versatile, from the boardroom to the clubhouse. Both cotton/poly and 100 percent polyester items in gallant stripes and jacquards will be available.
Ladies' Collection
The Zen Spa collection presents both tranquil and exciting pieces for ladies' golf apparel. The Zen Flower Polo includes a shawl collar neckline and Lotus flower print back that creates a new and interesting silhouette on-course. Cutter & Buck has stretched ladies golf design beyond the norm by integrating modern fashion techniques that flatter women's figures. The three-quarter sleeve Tranquility Tee includes a twist knot in the front of the shirt that is slimming and feminine. Marrying technology with fashion, the CB DryTec Namaste Mock combines a moisture-wicking fabric with a modern shape. The mock-neck top has a Mandarin-style collar and ruches to one-side giving women comfort, shape and style.
The Retro Resort line, meanwhile, offers a mid-century modern approach to fashion indicated by its color palette of black, white and infinity (mint) green. A signature look to this line is the Repose Ankle Pant, a slimming cigarette-style pant in black-and-white plaid. Another new look is the three-quarter sleeve Ahoy Tee, a boat-necked shirt that is engineered with horizontal striped pattern and roll-tab sleeves.
