AT&T Continues 4K Leadership with the Masters Tournament in 4K High Dynamic Range

Watch Select Holes Live Starting April 5 on DIRECTV 4K Channels 105 and 106

(EL SEGUNDO, Calif.) — AT&T*, the first U.S. pay-TV provider to launch live 4K HDR programing, is bringing DIRECTV subscribers lifelike picture quality in sports, events, music and more. We’re adding live 4K HDR1 broadcasts of the 2018 Masters to our impressive 4K channel lineup.

A broadcast in 4K HDR brings that impressive 330-yard drive to life. You can see every dimple on the golf ball as it dramatically inches toward the hole. 4K offers 4x as many pixels as High Definition (HD).

With HDR, which stands for High Dynamic Range, you’ll see greater clarity with every swing, it adds better contrast, with wide color gamut that makes the colors on your TV more closely match what you see in real life. The 10-bit color depth shows a smoother gradation in color. And at 60 frames per second, motion will be more fluid.

Catch the 2018 Masters in Live 4K HDR on DIRECTV, which kicks off Thursday, April 5.

Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6 – “Amen Corner,” Holes 11, 12 and 13 at 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET (DIRECTV Channel 105), Holes 15 and 16 at 11 a.m. – 6:45 p.m. ET (DIRECTV Channel 106).
