AHEAD to Debut Spring '13 Apparel, Headwear at Las Vegas PGA Expo
“We are encouraged and pleased to see the Vegas PGA Show continues to grow in both popularity and attendance,” said Scott Stone, national sales manager golf, AHEAD. “It’s a great platform for AHEAD to showcase its new spring product lines to a diverse group of buyers who recognize the benefit of attending a multi-show venue in a multi-show city.”
Headwear Highlights For Spring 2013
On the heals of the company’s biggest and most successful new headwear product launch last February, AHEAD will be introducing twelve new men’s styles highlighted by both technology and ornamentation.
Seven new tech-performance styles will be unveiled with enhanced ultraviolet protection. Protection from harmful UV rays has become increasingly more important in the market place and AHEAD’s conversion from microfiber technology to nylon performance fabrics means greater protection from the sun.
Five additional new “washed” styles supported by growing retail trends and demand will be introduced. These snap-back caps utilize a ‘tea-stained’ pigment dye process bringing this distressed style to a whole new level. AHEAD, a pioneer in logo ornamentation will unveil a new technique using a direct to garment process that gives the throw-back caps a vintage finishing touch.
Apparel Highlights For Spring 2013
Known for its design, performance and value, AHEAD will strengthen its position in the market place with new introductions to its sun protection, outwear, Kate Lord and PGA Authentic apparel lines this spring.
For Spring 2013, AHEAD is expanding its offerings of its sun protection line with the addition of Cool Touch yarns. The Cool Touch yarns are used to increase comfort by offering quicker moisture absorption and dissipation qualities that are built right into the yarns. The faster drying is due to a special design of fiber cross section, resulting in a soft, cool and dry touch. Each style is also designed with back aerated collar treatments. The Cool Touch will be offered in an updated color block and pieced solid smart styling. Suggested retail of the Sun Protection
polos will range from $64 -67.
AHEAD is introducing two updated lightweight fleeces for Spring. The two new pieces were designed for those cool crisp mornings on the course where a lightweight layering piece will keep you comfortable and still provide the full range of motion needed to round out your game. The Half Zip Color Block and Full Zip with Sleeve stripe pieces will be offered in combinations of Red, Lime, Royal, Gunmetal and Black. All constructed of 100 percent polyester fleece that inherits the use of mechanical stretch and accessorized with signature zipper pulls and toggles. Suggested retail will range from $72 – 74.
Kate Lord is adding two basic polos with a flair for jewel tone colorings to its line. The new styles are a short sleeve yarn dye bar stripe with a solid V-neck placket that incorporates a small hidden zipper, and a sleeveless yarn dye feeder stripe. The polos are constructed of polyester and spandex giving it a beautiful soft hand feel and the stretch needed for freedom of movement. The polos come in six colors; Wisteria, Pacific, Azul, Bubblegum, Julep and Black/White with a suggested retail range from $57 – 59.
AHEAD has also expanded its PGA Authentics line with several new offerings. Among the expanded offerings for Spring is a new rich, classic looking 1/2 zip lightweight pullover. The pullover is constructed with a special polyester mélange blend yarn, giving it soft cashmere like hand. It is available in two heather colorways; Grey Heather and Lake Heather. The pullover is outfitted with the signature PGA zipper pull at the front placket, the tonal PGA embroidery on the back outside collar and the PGA heat seal labeling. The suggested retail is $78.
