(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) – Srixon congratulates InGee Chun for winning the Evian Championship in record-breaking fashion over the weekend at Evian Resort in Evian-les-Bains, France. Chun won her second career LPGA major in wire-to-wire fashion by four strokes with a 21-under-par score of 263, the lowest 72-hole mark ever in a men’s or women’s professional major.
“I just cannot believe I won the Evian Championship and made 21-under par,” said Chun, a 22-year-old native of South Korea who also won last year’s U.S. Women’s Open. “I’m not dreaming right?”
Chun, who uses Srixon’s fourth-generation Z-STAR golf ball in Pure White, became the second player in LPGA history to have her first two wins be majors. The tour premium Srixon Z-STAR features an array of innovations designed to maximize performance on every shot, including SpinSkin, Speed Dimple design and the Energetic Gradient Growth core.
Chun rose to No. 3 in the Rolex Rankings and also clinched the Louise Suggs LPGA Rolex Rookie of the Year.
