K-MOTION Unveils ‘Tiles’ Feature

Golf’s First ‘Launch Monitor for the Body’

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) — K-MOTION - the leader in 3D evaluations and biofeedback training technology for coaches and athletes - has launched its new Tiles feature, an addition to its patented K-COACH software that simplifies coaching and training with 3D swing data. The feature is available for K-MOTION customers to download today.

K-MOTION Tiles enable coaches and players to instantly see the 3D swing data tracked in a clear, easily digestible manner. After each swing, corresponding data displays on the screen in tile format, very similar to launch monitor readouts. The tiles display a wide range of invaluable data about a player’s swing, including swing characteristics (flat shoulders, s-posture, etc.), tempo, kinematic sequence, wrist angles, body positions and more. The tiles are easily customizable, allowing the user to select and track the precise data according to their desired area of focus.

“At K-MOTION, we believe 3D swing data is the most powerful and actionable information in golf,” says K-MOTION CEO Michael Chu. “With K-MOTION Tiles, we have further simplified the application of 3D body and wrist data to training, allowing coaches and players to further understand every swing. This feature will do for body and wrist data what launch monitors did for club and ball data.”

According to Golf Digest, seven of the top-15 golf instructors in America trust K-MOTION. Beyond golf, Major League Baseball teams such as the Seattle Mariners, and National Hockey League teams, also use K-MOTION products for better measurement and training. In February, K-MOTION was named as a finalist for the Yahoo! Sports Technology Awards in the “Best Technology for Elite Performance” category.

The industry leader in wearable, motion-training technology that makes athletes better faster, K-MOTION products create a complete learning solution: from diagnosis, to supervised instruction, to unsupervised practice. Through patented real-time audio and visual cues, athletes can connect perception to reality and master perfect motion in seconds. K-MOTION creates a seamless connection between player and coach through its cloud-based improvement sequence of evaluate, coach and train.
