Introducing Paul Heller Art

(Art) - While at the recent Club Management Association of America World Conference and Business Expo in Nashville, I stumbled upon an artsy booth. Most booths exhibited furniture, service equipment and other club-related items, so this extremely creative booth really stood out. As I got to talking with artist Paul Henry, I knew I had to introduce him to the American Golfer audience.

You can see some of the beautiful pieces he's already completed on his website (paulhellerart.com), but the most interesting aspect is his ability to create custom artwork. If your course has a signature hole or feature, Heller can bring it to life in style.

Off the course, you'll see he's designed some amazing guitars, sailboats, tropical fish and much more.

Here's a little about the artist: Paul Heller is a folk glass artist that uniquely combines illumination, 3D forms and glass. In addition to the design selection and glass cutting techniques of his art; there is elaborate carpentry involved in creating the 3D forms even before the first piece of glass is mounted. Beautiful illumination is achieved through long-lasting LEDs and varying lighting is often used with custom dimmer controls. So Paul considers himself a mutli-talented creative artist, carpenter and electronics technician.

Prior to pursuing professional glass art, Paul Heller has had a successful career as a management consultant, hotel entrepreneur/operator and most recently a university professor at various Atlanta business schools including Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Mercer MBA and Oglethorpe. Most recently he developed and taught a course entitled “Social Media and Search Engine Marketing” at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. Additional courses Paul has taught include: Marketing Management, Service Marketing, Corporate Finance, and Management Information Systems. Paul has his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. While in Management Consulting with a national accounting firm (Touche Ross) Paul was a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
