Billy Casper Golf Named Management Partner for Alhambra Golf Course

Los Angeles-Area Layout Becomes Seventh BCG Course in California

(RESTON, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – the respected and innovative management partner of nearly 150 golf courses, country clubs and resorts in 29 states – proudly announces its lease agreement to operate Alhambra Golf Course in Alhambra, California.

The previous operating group retired after 37 years. After a nationwide search, BCG was selected as Alhambra’s strategic management partner moving forward for golf operations and agronomics. Operations will be locally-managed by a professional golf and agronomic team, while also supported by regional and national teams to provide expert guidance and direction.

“Billy Casper Golf and the City of Alhambra share a joint commitment to elevating the golf course conditions and guest experience,” says Fernando Vazquez, head professional, Alhambra Golf Course. “Given BCG’s advanced industry expertise, I am confident in their ability to help guide us forward.”

Built in 1956, the par-71 William Bell design is a unique layout that presents a formidable challenge to good players, yet accommodates the developing player without the intimidating length of many modern courses. The beautiful 18-hole design, triple deck lighted driving range and award-winning pro shop provide residents with lots of variety and competitive pricing.

“By providing a fun design for all skill sets, Alhambra is an important offering in the greater Los Angeles community,” says Scott Justman, western regional director of operations for Billy Casper Golf. “It is our goal that guests will come to appreciate the Billy Casper Golf difference in the short and long term.”

In 2019, Billy Casper Golf is celebrating its 30th anniversary of building and refining the strongest operating platform in golf course management. Alhambra Golf Course is now the seventh BCG-managed course in The Golden State.
