Titleist Speed: The Top Driver Choice on the PGA Tour

(RELEASE) — The wave of momentum continues to swell for TS drivers on the PGA Tour. This week at THE PLAYERS Championship, more players are trusting their success to a Titleist driver than any competitor brand with 38 players in the elite field of 144 relying on a Titleist model. Of those 38 Titleist drivers in play at TPC Sawgrass, 33 are TS models (TS2 - 7 | TS3 - 26). In fact, the Titleist TS3 is the most played individual driver model at THE PLAYERS with 26 - that is 5 more than the nearest competitor's top model.

Since the start of the new calendar year Titleist has been the top driver choice among players at nearly every PGA Tour event, including:
- Sentry Tournament of Champions: Titleist was the top driver choice at the winners-only event with nine drivers in play (T1) at Kapalua. Of the nine players gaming a Titleist driver, eight trusted a TS2 or TS3 model in the bag.

-Sony Open: Titleist led the driver count with 45 drivers in play at Waialae Country Club, as Titleist made PGA Tour history, becoming the only golf equipment manufacturer to ever sweep the equipment counts at a full-field event... from the GOLF BALL through EVERY major GOLF CLUB category. Eleven players put a new TS2 or TS3 into competitive play for the first time at the Sony, as there were more new Titleist TS2 (10) and TS3 (28) model drivers in play (38 of 45 Titleist drivers) than all of the nearest competitors driver models combined (32).

- Desert Classic: Titleist was once again the driver of choice in Palm Springs, with 45 players relying on a Titleist driver. Of those 45 Titleist drivers in play, 38 were TS models (TS2 -10 | TS3 -28), equaling the number of all of the nearest competitor's driver models combined (38).

- Farmers Insurance Open: Titleist was once again the driver of choice in San Diego, with 47 players relying on a Titleist driver. Of those 47 Titleist drivers in play, 41 were TS models (TS2 - 12 | TS3 - 29), surpassing the number of all of the nearest competitor's driver models combined (36). Validating the player confidence seen two weeks earlier, Titleist once again swept the equipment counts... from the GOLF BALL through EVERY major GOLF CLUB category.

- Waste Management Phoenix Open: At TPC Scottsdale, Titleist was the top driver choice among players in the field of 132. Of the 37 Titleist drivers in play, 31 were TS models (TS2 - 10 | TS3 - 21).
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Titleist was the top choice in the driver category at Pebble Beach, with 42 Titleist models in play. This marked the sixth straight week that players on the PGA Tour made Titleist and TS drivers the top driver choice on Tour. Of the 42 Titleist drivers in play, 37 were TS models(TS2 - 5 | TS3 - 32). The Titleist TS3 was the most played individual driver model with 32 – that is 10 more than the nearest competitor's top model.

- Puerto Rico Open: Titleist was the top driver choice among players in the field of 132. Of the 37 Titleist drivers in play, 35 were TS models (TS2 - 8 | TS3 - 27).

- Honda Classic: One out of every three drivers in the field of 144 at the Honda was a Titleist, with 48 models in play. That's 16 more than the nearest competitor with 32. Of those 48 Titleist drivers, 40 were TS models (TS2 - 11 | TS3 - 29). The Titleist TS3 continued its run as the most played single driver model on the PGA TOUR with 29, nearly double the next closest driver model with 15. For the third time this season, Titleist swept the equipment counts... from the GOLF BALL through EVERY major GOLF CLUB category.

- Arnold Palmer Invitational: At Bay Hill, Titleist was the top choice among players in the driver category, with 32 Titleist models in play. Of the 32 Titleist drivers in play, 27 were TS models (TS2 - 7 | TS3 - 20). The Titleist TS3 once again continued its run as the most played driver model on Tour with 20 TS3 drivers in players' bags.

"The entire TS Project started with a challenge from our players on Tour to create drivers that deliver more speed," said Josh Talge, Vice President of Marketing for Titleist Clubs. "These same players have seen the performance gains and have made Titleist the most played driver brand on the PGA Tour in 2019. There's more work to do, but we're humbled by their trust."
