Product Review: Miura Golf Wedges

You’re faced with a tight pin tucked behind a bunker and must get up and down. Do you have the confidence to make the shot? Do you have the right club in your bag?

If you’re playing with Miura Golf’s wedges, the answer to both questions should be “yes.”

Miura wedges offer the feel, feedback and workability of a forged blade, which create a confluence of playability - leading to skill and confidence.

Technically speaking, Katsuhiro Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the hitting area of the club in a manner that is unique to his clubs. This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura-made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers don’t achieve.

Miura also uses a proprietary “spin welding” process to produce the industry's most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered.

Chemistry and engineering aside, Miura wedges pass the all-important tests - on the range and on the course, in the heat of battle. American Golfer did both and can, without a doubt, recommend this product.

Before striking a single shot, the feel of the club stands out. Perfectly weighted and balanced, you’ve succeeded before even swinging. The sleek, classic look of Miura wedges adds to the pre-shot confidence.

On the range, shot after shot hit its mark. The sweet spot was so large, it was nearly impossible to miss it ... critical when inside the scoring zone. That zone was tested on the course, as well, and was no match for the Miura wedge.

Considering the mental side of golf plays such a huge role in success or failure, having a club that looks and feels ideal is sure to take strokes off the card. Put a Miura wedge in your bag, attack some pins and lower your scores.

A soft steel wedge with high loft and sharp grooves is as valuable a tool as you can carry in your golf bag. It will carry the ball high with lots of spin to stop where it hits.
