(Chatham, NJ) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning technology company and pioneer of Live Golf Scoring – today announces new features for its popular mobile app.
Now available worldwide, enhanced tools include:
- New digital scorecard: An update to VPAR’s scoring page brings the traditional paper scorecard into the 21st century. The new design is seamlessly adapted for the mobile environment, bringing a simple score input system, the ability to navigate all 18 holes and GPS functionality to one screen. No need to turn your phone horizontally or zoom in.
- The Feed: Share your golfing experiences, keep track of your friends’ scores and read the latest golfing news in your personalized newsfeed.
- Challenges: Compete with friends or fellow VPAR golfers across the country and even around the world. The “Challenges” tab enables entry into a diverse range of prize tournaments and competitions, giving golfers the excitement of seeing where they stand on live leaderboards. This adds continued encouragement to get out and play another round.
These updates offer an additional level of engagement as golfers continue to use VPAR’s live leaderboards, pinpoint GPS, course planner and stat-tracking.
“VPAR’s mission is to innovate and these app updates represent an exciting new frontier for users,” says VPAR President and Managing Director Jason Stoop. “Golf is a social game, and our app’s newest enhancements give players the ability to connect and compete with other golfers globally, as well as keep up to date with how their friends are playing.”
The app upgrades come after the recently unveiled Hilton Golf Championship Powered by VPAR – a live amateur golf tournament across Europe, Africa and the Middle East using the new Challenge feature. Top performers at season’s end will qualify for a final competition in Portugal.
