(KAUA‘I, Hawaii) – Four Kaua’i properties were rated among Golfweek’s “Best Resort Courses, 2015” in the magazine’s recently unveiled collection of exceptional layouts.
The following “Garden Isle” courses landed in the national “Top 100”:
* Prince Course at Princeville (No. 37)
* Princeville Makai Golf Club (No. 42), amenity of The St. Regis Princeville Resort
* Poipu Bay Golf Course (No. 83), amenity of the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa
Using a panel of experienced course evaluators, Golfweek rates courses based on criteria that include natural setting, variety of holes, shaping, routing and conditioning.
Prince Course at Princeville retains its place as a preeminent resort course in the state and was one of just three Hawaii courses in the top-40. Princeville Makai Golf Club surged 44 spots from 2014 rankings, while Poipu Bay Golf Course, former host of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, returns to the “Top 100.”
“These honors show Kaua‘i is more than an island destination, it’s a special place for golf getaways and family resort vacations,” said Sue Kanoho, executive director of the Kaua‘i Visitor’s Bureau.
